Prices to drop back to normal to buy this from TechMikeNY Im glad I waited. This shipping was super fast and came to my door in like 3 days. Item looked like it was taken care of and super clean. Popped it in my server and ran perfectly after the initial start and reboot process. 10/10 would buy from TechMikeNY again!!!!!

direct replacement, 10c 20 thread
purchased multiples of this chip to upgrade a few dell t310 servers i picked up for almost nothing.the original spec on the server was a 4 core 4 thread chip that was 1.8ghz.could not run vmware with any real flexibility on a chip with those specs so i started looking for an upgrade, found these.They were packaged fantastically, shipped promptly, arrived quick and worked flawlessly.now my server has 10core 20thread at 2.4 ghz which allows my homelab to function with more flexability then before, and all for a good price.installation is straight forward, make sure you have the correct BIOS to allow the chip to be compatible with this chip and upgrade as needed.you then ensure its the correct chip form factor, pull the old one out, put the new one in aligning all of the pins and cutouts properly, apply your favorite thermal paste, clean and reinstall the cooler (or upgrade) and away you go!
