Easy to assemble, good size for a home office cubby
The desk is nicely made, and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. I would recommend two people for some of the assembly, as it is all about aligning bolts into machined spaces. (Everything slid right together without forcing) The surface feels nice to the touch, and the shelves can be placed on either side to accommodate your preference. I’m pleased with this purchase and would buy again!

Perfect for workshop
This JOISCOPE home office desk is the perfect work surface in my workshop. I use this desk to paint small things and to work on various items. With the metal frame and wood top, it is the perfect size for my basement workshop. The work surface is large enough to accomodate my tools and paints and the shelves are great for storage. I have an old office chair that I use and this works perfectly.

Great quality, perfect size for the room
I want to start off by saying this was one of the easiest builds of furniture I’ve ever had to build. Instructions were very clear and it didn’t take very long (maybe 15-30 minutes tops) to do.It’s a pretty small desk, which is exactly what we wanted for the small bedroom to help save space, but still have a little shelf to store stuff. I love the space for a desktop which is exactly what I’m using it for. The feel of metal and shelf are very solid and feel like quality parts (unlike most furniture I’ve built). Another bonus is the legs, they are adjustable depending on your height and other factors, so you can screw them to make the go higher or lower. Finally, the headset hook is just a nice thing to have to save even more space on the desk and keep the headset close.That said, the one minor callout is, when reading through the instructions, they tell you to install the shelf in the middle section and only in the back of the manual it says you can also install it on the top. If you are forgetful (or have ADHD like me) you may just follow the instructions and forget you want to have the shelf up top to place your desktop in it. Meaning you have to unscrew the shelf to place it higher. Not a huge deal, but it’d have been nice to know earlier on.Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this desk!

This is my review of the JOISCOPE Home Office Desk with Double Reversible Side Shelves and Headphone Hooks.The packaging for the desk pieces was well thought out. Every piece was wrapped in plastic and had styrofoam galore to protect it. However, I really thought they could have made more use of cardboard instead of plastic. It was a little unsettling with how much styrofoam and plastic was needed for this desk.Regarding the design, I was extremely impressed with the sleek all-black vibe. It is clean and contrasty. Since I got the black neutral color model, it integrates with any any room aesthetic that isn’t white. The top of the desk seems to be a vinyl covered piece of wood pressboard/fiberboard. For the price, I wasn’t expecting authentic red wood, but thought it was worth mentioning.The customizability of the design also lends itself to being extremely versatile. The ability to swap the side the shelves are on is genius that I wish other manufactures would implement. If you wanted to switch it on the fly, you could turn the desk 180 degrees, and remove the long bar and 2 angled supports and simply move them to the other side. No need to turn the desk upside down and separate the 2 halves. If you were really weird, you could even use just the shelf portion standalone. Although, the main desk part would be useless.There’s no such thing as something for nothing, so all these great features at a good price must have a catch; The build quality. When it’s fully assembled it feels pretty sturdy, when there’s nothing on it. However, if you plan on putting anything but a computer monitor on the desk I would be a little warry. The support beams and the metal frame of the desk isn’t particularly thick. I have a Canon Pro-300 on top of the desk and that’s it. When the printer is idle, everything appears fine. But unfortunately, when printing, the movement of the printhead within the Pro-300 causes the desk to wobble considerably. There’s enough side-to-side flex that overtime this would surely cause the desk to fail.Overall, if you’re not planning on putting a Pro printer on it, it’s not a bad buy. I would recommend to anyone that wants to use it as a plain old computer desk. I can’t give 4.5 stars, so I will reluctantly give it a 5, as I can’t blame it for not being sturdy enough for my niche case.

This desk wasn’t too difficult to assemble. The instructions were pretty clear, but do take your time as it is very easy to assemble things facing the wrong way, and in which case future steps wouldn’t work. Kind of have to think through what it should look like as a final product before you assemble anything.There are tools included in the package, so thankfully I didn’t have to find the appropriate stuff in my stash. It’s a smaller sized desk, which is pretty sturdy and functional. The shelves can be customized which side you want them to be on. This is not a desk that is going to be an impressive piece of a furniture in the room. It’s more of a minimalist look to it.I am a bit surprised at the price considering how small the desk is. We are using this for one of our children, so it’s an appropriate size for them. As an adult, it definitely wouldn’t be big enough for our needs. Though, if you have a small space and can’t fit a full size desk, I suppose this is a good option for you. I do like that the feet have some room for adjustment in case the floor is slightly uneven, or in our case, part of the desk is on a carpet while the other part is on laminate flooring.The desk is easy to assemble, has some room for storing items, and a bit of options to customize it how you want (shelves and feet). I do find it more than I would usually pay for a desk like this. With that being said, it does feel like good quality and I think it would last a long time.
