Out of the box, I really appreciated that a protective case is included. This is the ubiquitous bright colored case with the handle which has been kid-tested on other tablets Iâve owned. They might get chewed up, but they at least provide great device protection and donât have any pieces that fall off and get lost. Also, a screen protector is applied from the factory. I donât believe it is a tempered glass one, but Iâll take it, and appreciate that I donât have to find one and worry about getting bubbles during application.The device was easy to power on and complete setup. Just plug in your WiFi info and google login and youâre all set. Iâve used Fire tablets in the past, and while those are simple to setup as well, theyâre littered with a bunch of extra apps and advertising. I liked that this OS was clean and felt like a stock Android install. Also nice is that this tablet comes with expandable memory via MicroSD card.Reading text on this device is not ideal. Though the specs tout this tablet as having an HD display, I have my doubts as text had visible aliasing, and would blur when scrolling a page. Other specs didnât align with the product page either: The advertised 8GB of memory was actually 4GB on the device I received. Also, the product listing advertises Android 14 being installed, while my device came installed with Android 13.The tablet comes with front and rear cameras. I wasnât expecting to be floored with the quality here, and in my testing that was the proper stance to take. The megapixels may be there, but the sensor is really basic. Will work fine for video calling, but donât expect the camera to rival your iPhone.Video quality was good, and truthfully, that is what this device will be used for 90% of the time. While the display isnât the highest resolution, it does have good viewing angles and good enough saturation to make videos look good.At around the $100 mark, I think the Fire tablets are a better value if you can grab one on sale. The display and specs are better and aftermarket accessories like cases and screen protectors are easy to find. But if your goal is getting YouTube kids on a cheap tablet without hacking it, this tablet fits the bill.

Great battery life
Works great for my 4 yr old. I love the battery life and the ease of use for him. I appreciate the Google kids app that allows me to monitor his usage and to set up timers for certain apps

Doesn’t take charge after 3 months
Bought this product in July and by October, it will not take a charge. Tried different chargers etc but nothing seems to work. The kindle is definitely more parent friendly for access to children.
