Must have for Quest 3
I bought this is because the original strap give me pain around my eyes after two hours of use. Also, the battery only last 2 hours. The build quality is good and is similar to Quest 2 elite strap that I have for many years which already suffered crack & probably will be dead soon. I donât expect this one to last too many years as very few made to achieve that. Both batteries are good & can support longer than I can play it, I.e. it still has some left before I quit playing after 4 hours & main battery is at full. The design does relieve pain from around my eyes by shifting weight. In general, I consider this is must have if you want to have good time playing Quest 3.

Works well
The item does what it says. It took me a while to figure out how to put it together because the instructions are really almost useless. The refer to your headset as “the host” and refer to parts by cryptic names and the diagrams are hard to understand. I was able to figure it out by trial and error. No tools needed. I have MetaQuest 3 so be aware that the side straps snap right off. Don’t unscrew something and break it. It took me a bit to get the fit right because I have a giant head. It works great and gives plenty of battery life. Batteries are swappable so you use 1 at a time. Though not mentioned in the instructions, the little black square cap is the cradle is where you can charge your batteries. It has a port to plug into a usbc cable. I was very happy with the purchase once I figured it out and no longer worry about running out of batteries.

One of two chargers work
I bought 2 of these and both work great but one of the battery charging stations doesnât work. Other than that no other issues.

Very comfortable
The strap provides a balanced load across the face and head, making for much more comfortable play. The two batteries allow for hours of continuous play.

Comfortability is ok, batteries have faulty charging port
One of the two batteries donât charge despite many attempts. The head strap is comfortable but the top section is a bit too far back. If the headset is low in power, it may not run off of the battery pack.If the battery pack is low in power, it can drain the headset battery!

Excellent Choice
This is the second external battery/head-strap I have purchased for my Quest 3. The first’s one’s ratchet gave out after a few months. One side worked and the other was floppy and wouldn’t tighten down. This one has two ratchets, One to adjust the fit to the top and the other to adjust the circumference around at the forehead. I finally have a sense of confidence with it’s engineering. The good things? The external battery balances nicely on the back of the head and the ratchet’s tighten down securely allowing for rapid movement without the headset bouncing around. It also has two batteries which are charged externally allowing you to change them when you run out of juice. So far, I have only had to use one of the external batteries but I do swap them out to get equal wear and tare. The hinged headstraps allow you to adjust and move the face-plate up or down and don the unit quickly once you’ve adjusted it to your liking. No more constantly adjusting the straps and ratchets to get a comfortable fit. Now I’m in the game in seconds. I also find that the face-plate no longer rides on my cheekbones making marks that last for hours. I love it. I will edit this review if my opinion changes but this first week has been a welcome relief. Buy it! I think you will be happy with it even if it does cost more. It’s worth it for the additional batteries and the design. WAY more comfortable that the others.Ten days later, using it every day. Still LOVING IT! Worth the extra $$$. So far, no disappointments.

The battery is amazing when one battery dies the other is good to go and never had to charge the headset from wall charger. But the strap is bad quality it has tilted right it make wearing the headset uncomfortable I had to open it to re adjust the strap you would need a very small screwdriver

Update: after about 3 weeks, both battery wouldn’t charge up past 20%, even if left overnight, so I have revised the rating (originally gave a 4 star) and I have no choice but to return it..Original posting:The headset on this is not the most comfortable (compared to Aubika for example), but it had better battery life than the Aubika one (which I had to return). It comes with 2 batteries which you can swap, each seems tp provide about 2 hours of charge. The charging button works well – like 1 press to turn it on and 2 presses to turn it off, except that it works as it should (unlike the aubika one I tried). The headset seems flimpsy and plasticy, but still, it is comfortable to use for a hew hours without any problems at all, but it is not the msot comfortable I’ve tried (which is why I rated it at 4 instead of 5 stars). Still, I am happy with it because the battery works well.
