Used to be a huge fan of Kyoceras…
Had my NEW phone for 7 or so months, the last two updates made apps crash constantly and my phone randomly restart. Last update bricked my phone, I let it sit on charger while updating, then when it shutdown to apply the update and restart, it just went dark!
Charging led doesn’t even turn on, nothing on phone works at all.
I took great care of the phone, never even dropped it, and put a case on it (yes, a case on a phone designed to not need a case), so there was no damage to it, so that is out of the question for possible reasons on why my phone is now a paperweight.
Luckily I still have my Kyocera Duraforce Pro II to use until I figure out what to do. It is from 2015 and still going strong, a little slow nowadays, but at least it is reliable. They don’t make ’em like they used to, and certainly not for comparable prices.

KYOCERA’s are great
I don’t have the touch screen drawing lock, I would prefer that over the pin code
Otherwise I am happy with the phone

JUNK
This phones price was great however I am not receiving all of my text messages. Been to three different Verizon stores and none has figured out the problem. They say it must be the phone. Lot of work transferring all of your info, updating phone contacts and now this. SMH

Charging port got loose in less than a year.
Had to buy another phone because this one would no longer charge.

Garbage. I’d think twice about getting a new one for free
You can’t wash it like the instructions say, it leaks out of everywhere and the screen freaks out. If you wash it, the speaker fills up and you can’t hear anything on a phone call. Don’t try to dry it with any kind of compressed air, I think it water rating was accomplished by encasing anything sensitive in epoxy instead of seals.
Mine is a year old. In that time, it’s never consistently wirelessly charged – sometimes it locates fine and then other times it just doesn’t. Most of the time you have to slide it around to try to get it right. The screen flips out and starts registering touches in random places until you power the screen off and on. The battery life is inconsistent. Most of the time its fine, but then occasionally it will just drain from a full charge overnight. I’ve had multiple times were the phone was on the wireless charger for a full day and went from 15% to 36%. Next weekend it will easily charge to 100%.
This is the absolute worst phone I have ever used and it’s such a disappoint coming from the Kyocera Brigadere and Duraforce Pro which were some of the most dependable phones I’ve ever used or dropped.
Occasionally the phone will just go completely non-responsive. It does not always respond to the hard power off procedure.
