not fancy, but solid performer.
My old Levono laptop is ancient. It dates back Windows 7. It was time to upgrade. I like the feel of Levono keyboards, and they to be trouble free for many years. The new one is very light, the keyboard is familiar, and the battery life is awesome. I find myself carrying this one around the house, on the outdoor deck, and in the basement. The old PC was heavy and had 1-2 hours battery life. Other laptops maybe better, but this one was rated highly and has exceeded my expectations. Levono seems to have made the start up process practically painless. When I the found my passwords were retained it was a true blessing and a big surprise.

Lenovo
This is a good laptop for students especially for the price. When it comes the web surfing the speed is nice and it still functions properly with multiple tabs open. The battery last about 5 hrs fully charged. It has excellent storage space. In order to download apps outside of the Microsoft store you do have to turn off S mode. The screen quality is nice for the price the sound is decent I have watched YouTube videos on here and the sound was pretty good. I haven’t experienced any issues and im on week 2 of owning it.

Great features and great value!
You can’t go wrong with this laptop computer. The specs are phenomenal for the price. The best deal I’ve found on a laptop that has an SD card reader and 1TB SSD.

Disappointed
I donât like negative reviews or rants. I donât write many reviews but most of the ones I do write are 5 stars. This is the exception. I am not a geek but Iâve built my own desktop, replaced: Motherboards, RAM, Hard Drives, Video cards, etc. etc. Windows 7 on my desktop will no longer accommodate Outlook.com emails so I had to buy a new computer (per Microsoft). I used to have a Lenovo laptop and loved it. When I saw this laptop on Amazonâs Deal of the Day; 20 GB RAM and 1 T of Storage I was excited!!! I didnât want Windows in âSâ mode as I wanted a certain web browser and Adobie PDF. I also wanted a larger Hard Drive. I read and re-read all of the information about this laptop 3 times to make sure that I got what I wanted and wasnât surprised. Nowhere on the website did it say that this was Windows 11 Home âSâ. Just Windows 11 Home. After much research Iâve learned that all Windows 11 Home are âSâ. To not have the âSâ you have to get Windows PRO. When I opened the box on top was a little piece of paper saying that it was an âSâ. You canât find any information from the laptop until everything is âinstalledâ. The 1 T storage is on âthe Cloudâ. If the box is opened but the laptop is never taken out of the wrapper Amazon charges you 10% to send it back. When I found out that the 1T storage is the âCloudâ and not hard drive they would charge you 35-50% to send it back. I donât know if this next is Lenovoâs fault or Windows or both. When you turn it on it takes 5-10 minutes to boot up; that is if it is not downloading an update which it seems to do at least twice a day then it takes 30 minutes to download and 15 minutes to install it. The processor on my desktop is 3.20 GHz and this is 1.1 GHz so this processor is much slower. The 20 GB RAM is Lightning Fast if it is not downloading or installing an update which is GREAT! It’s just that a 1.1 GHz processor for this much RAM makes this a very Sluggish machine. This takes 3 times as long to print anything as it is only 1/3 the speed. Do yourself a favor and get a larger processor. The BATTERY says it is LONG LIFE but when it is 100% fully charged it says that it can only run 4 hours & 1 minute. Not long in my book. My final gripe is Outlook email which is probably a Microsoft Office issue. If you havenât checked your Outlook.com email for several days it doesn’t update when you open it, the last email is from the last time that you opened it. You cannot ârefreshâ the email. To get todayâs email you have to restart the laptop and all too often it is updating so the laptop wonât turn off or turn on so you have to wait 30-45 minutes to check your new email. This laptop is no better than my 4 GB RAM Lenovo laptop from 20 years ago. Do yourself a favor and buy your laptop from a Big Box store instead of AMAZON. They are easier to return even if purchased online. The seller has a 30 day return policy, just a 35-50% penalty for the information that they donât include on the website. You donât know how much the penalty will be until youâve returned it and they tell you. I will NEVER buy another Lenovo or any electronics from Amazon!

Adequate performance – disappointed in lack of backlit keyboard.
I had vowed never to buy another computer without a backlit keyboard. This computer was on sale and looked to be a good value. I searched the available Amazon specs but couldn’t determine if this model had a backlit keyboard. The same was true of the Lenovo website. A colleague was sure that all these computers had backlit keyboards although some required one to turn it on with a combination of keystrokes. Alas, decent computer but no backlit keyboard. Reasonable performance for the price.

My new laptop
Thin, lightweight, Lenovo laptop with nice matte screen and clear image.Good price and works well.Going to take a little time to get used to all of the buttons since it’s different from my old Lenovo laptop.Came with a year of Microsoft 365 which is nice and also easily connected to my Epson printer. Which is great since there isn’t a CD drive on this laptop so I was worried about that.Has a USB A and a USB C port and HDMI. All very important for what I need my laptop for.You can easily Google or YouTube how to disable S mode. It was really easy with the 2 minute video I found that walked me through it so I could download apps outside the Microsoft store like FireAlpaca.
