Nice laptop that has some beef to it.
While I know this isn’t Amazons fault, USPS took 4 weeks to deliver this package, the outer box was so smashed I could see inside it. But the laptops box seemed intact, I was hesitant to even open it. 4 weeks of being thrown around can’t be good. This was sent Priority mail too, but I can’t know where this thing went, lol. However, once opened up, all looked well and proper, and the padding was well protecting. The computer booted right up, quickly too. So far so good with no issues to report. Now getting used to Windows 11 took a day or two, but I got there eventually and am OK with this OS.This computer can run in different modes with the video systems, either using the discrete Nvidia 1650 video full time(runs hot), or part time(Hybrid Mode) when gaming, or you can turn it off and just use the AMD Radeon CPU graphics for longer battery life. Very clever. There are options for fan speed too. And if you leave it plugged in all the time, there is an option for that to save your battery. Some useful tools and versatility. CUP temps while gaming are low too. At light use, the CPU is at 33 C showing good thermal qualities. And not too full of crapware either. There was the usual anti virus, but I deleted that and I’m good with MS Defender. And if you do not use Microsoft OneDrive (I hate it), make sure you uninstall it before you transfer all your files. You can use up a lot of Gigabytes and not know it.The 17.3 inch screen is drop dead gorgeous and can be viewed at any angle, it really looks nice. Game play is great too with fast crisp visuals. So far, I have Minecraft running, full video effects on high, and plays like hot butter. The same for Civ 6, full video settings, good visuals, and very fast turn cycles, as fast as I can click the mouse. Also there are options for upgrades. I can add another hard drive for instance. There are instructions for this online from Lenovo, you can take this thing apart. I’ve never been squeamish about tearing into a laptop, but this is the first one I’ve owned that gives you very good detailed how to instructions. Bravo. There are enough USB ports. One of them is always “On” for say charging a phone. Or, if you forgot your power brick, you can even use a wall wart to get by on. There are also type C USB ports too. And the HDMI port, which I am using right now to view on a monitor. I am using this as a desktop replacement with separate monitor and keyboard. It has a bit of weight to it, but not too much to carry. This will serve me well for what I need, hopefully for years. I once owned a nice Sager laptop, which were rebranded Lenovo products. It was always a solid device.UPDATE: For those wondering about the 32 GB USB memory card, it’s the credit card size white thing taped to the box. You have to flip or remove the little part you plug in. Pretty much worthless, but nice sentiment anyway.I also installed Doom Eternal for a real world test, 75 FPS and flows like hot liquid lead. Fan speed is not obnoxious at all.

Don’t let the stars stir you away
We LOVE this computer! My son bought it for his first gaming computer, go big or go home, and its great. We was worried that there wasn’t any feed back except one and they gave 5 stars but they were right. Legion by Lenovo we have found is the best there is. My husband just recently bought a tower from them and loves but is jealous over the laptop one. You won’t regret your purchase.
