Battery and date and time issues
I bought this computer as a backup laptop. At first things seemed fine. Plugged it in and started it up. Downloaded some software and added some files. Months later I pull it out for the second time, plug it in and started it up and got this error. Have tried updating the date and time many times only to have to redo this every time upon startup. Also the battery does not charge up at all, and does not store the date and time information as a proper windows laptop should. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and have missed my return window. I feel as though I should be refunded the money so I can spend it at a local computer repair store. At this point I am dissatisfied with the purchase, but am open to resolutions.

This is a cracking little computer!
I bought this small machine with the intention of using it as a Linux Multimedia Center for LIVE guitar shows. I am impressed with it’s performance and I love that it fits in my instrument case. This item was well packaged and appears to be in excellent condition on first glance. The only caveats are that one of the chassis screws appears to be stripped and cannot be tightened down, also the internal battery the x240 is known for was not included. I will need to pony up for one of those as the main battery will only charge to 95%. I purchased a new 1TB SSD drive to go with this, I don’t do Windows so the 500G hard drive will sit in a drawer until I decide what to do with it.Lenovo makes durable, long lasting hardware and I will always opt for a refurbished machine over a new one because I know the legacy peripherals work well with Linux and enables me to combat planned obsolescence. Thanks Amazon for offering excellent refurbished gear.

Poor refurbish
Laptop freezes, shuts down and must be rebooted when simply lifted up. Power button has no “click” sensation. The main value in this laptop to me is its portability, but if it cannot be lifted it has lost that value
