Don’t Be MisLed, THIS IS NOT A 2018 Model
First thing I want to say is shame on me for not doing research on this Lenovo laptop. If I had I would have known that the description of this laptop is not true. This is NOT a 2018 model. This is a 2014 model and the seller should be truthful. The first thing I had to do was update the installed Windows because I was alerted Windows would not operate properly until I did. Updating Windows took about 25 minutes to do so. I go back and forth on whether to return this or not (have until April 15th) just because the seller was not honest and fear of potential future problems.That being said the laptop is well made, feels sturdy but heavy @ about 5 lbs but I don’t mind. The keyboard feels fine and I like the touch. I know it lacks some keys but that also is not a problem for me because those are keys I do not use much, if at all. The touch pad isn’t too easy to maneuver around but I use a wireless mouse so again no biggie for me. All in all I like it but took off one star because it is an older model NOT a 2018 as the title represents. If anything goes wrong I’ll update my review and if anything major goes on I’ll probably return it and update the review.UPDATE: 4/9/18 Okay so I am not satisfied with this laptop because I have been having problems with it. I wanted to return this because of a few issues that I think will be serious in the very near future BUT I can not restore this computer to the date I received it. I called Lenovo and paid $69.99 to have them remotely repair it. They couldn’t get it to reset any further than I could so I am waiting for Lenovo to send me a recovery disk and we will try this again WHICH MAY COST EVEN MORE CASH.Bottom line is I can’t return this because I can not wipe it clean of my personal information because it either (according to Lenovo) has serious software corruption OR a Hard drive sector failure. I am not a super computer geek so I have to pay Lenovo money to try to return this Laptop.I learned my lesson, don’t buy used or refurbished because you could be stuck like me with a troubled laptop that can’t be reset to wipe your personal info off of it.UPDATE : 4/13/18 SO NOBODY CAN RESET THIS COMPUTER TO GET MY INFO OFF OF IT….NOT EVEN LENOVO!!! I GUESS I AM SCREWED !!! DONT BUY REFURBISHED OFF OF AMAZON BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET A DEFECTIVE ONE YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN IT, UNLESS YOU WANT TO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFO ON IT !!!!!

Not too confident with an X240-
I’ve always liked Lenovo products, and in fact I used to work for their ITC department in the corporate headquarters. I had an X220, loved that thing. It finally died, I bought an X230, a terrible mishap killed that one. So I bought a used X240 locally. Worked great for a month then would not power on. I did not have time to mess with it so I bought an i7 X240 from this vendor. Showed up on time, worked fine, did need a Windows 10 update, no biggie. But this morning the damn thing would not boot up. I was using it last night, plenty of battery life left in both cells, and I shut it down normally last night. Finally was able to get it to boot after some web research. If it happens again I’m returning it.

Portable & Effective
I like everything about the laptop.

Actually I dislike the laptop. Because it often suddenly shut down that leads to lose my date.
