Phenomenal Monitor for the budget friendly gamer
This LG Ultragear monitor will have you thinking, âWhy didnât I get this sooner?â The packaging is done very well to ensure no damage upon arrival. I actually purchased this monitor from another retailer for about $400, I saw it go on sale for under $300 and I just had to pick up another. The picture quality is suburb for not being an OLED panel, I have had no screen-tearing or dead pixels since Iâve starting playing on it. I play games at 1440p 240hz with zero issues on this monitor, the size of 27 inches is perfect for any casual or hardcore gamer. I replaced another LG 1440p monitor with this one, and I see a much brighter picture and quality of the image on this monitor.

Best 27″ gaming monitor at this price point
Has 240hz refresh rate, extremely low latency, G-sync and a great picture. Only thing it isn’t is OLED or QD-OLED.

quality qhd!
i think i’m one of the lucky ones… no dead pixels upon arrival! this monitor looks amazing, and it’s BIG. take my review with a grain of salt, though; i’m coming from a 2019 hp omen laptop. i think anything is an improvement over that lol.the colors are SO CLEAN and saturated, there is very little “glow” when displaying mostly black screens. it’s heavy and it all feels super quality. i think my biggest gripe is there is a cable clip on the back, that i didn’t REALIZE was a cable clip, and now i can’t get it off, therefore no cables are clipped. bizarre.also, this is a nitpick because you can SEE photos in other reviews, but the product description claims this is glossy finish. it is most definitely matte, LOL. obviously. because it’s not OLED. anyway, still really really nice!!!edit: after 2 months i did get a dead pixel. it’s literally completely undetectable while watching movies or playing games, but when i use art programs i can see it… anyway. it’s really tiny, i don’t think it’s that big of a deal unless more start randomly popping up. i’ll update again if more appear.

Excellent!
I’m a bit picky with monitors and am rather impressed with this panel, but not using the HDR feature. Been wanting to upgrade my gaming monitor to a native 1440p one for a bit ever since I upgraded my gaming machine, where apparently you can get worse performance with 1080p anymore, and I’ve been on the fence with getting an OLED. However, I think I’ll wait a couple more years given how good this (relatively) cheap monitor is. Just very impressed with the display in general. Only thing I feel like could be improved is the colors in HDR mode — just doesn’t look good in HDR. I use photo/video editing displays for most things and this gaming monitor does actually look pretty good otherwise.

Unbeatable quality for price
LG makes the best quality monitors for the price they are listed at. Have been using for many months and this monitor is great for competitive gaming. There are better monitors out there but you will pay nearly twice the price and you may not be able to tell the difference.

Dead pixels after 3 days of use
I really loved the image quality of this monitor, but unfortunately 3 days after it started showing a complete line of dead pixels. I recommend you to stay away of this monitor.

Great monitor have had since nov
Bought this monitor in early Nov. Did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that this had the best performance to dollar (bought for 350$). At first I wasn’t sold that 240hz was that amazing coming from 165hz. But after awhile I realized that it is a decent upgrade. Great response times. Also the gsync actually seems to work really well, my old monitor would get all ghosting when the frame rate would get below 90fps or so so I’d have to leave it off which felt dumb. With this monitor I haven’t seen anything like that and even at lower fps it still feels pretty good. No dead pixels on mine as well which was nice.I whole heatedly recommend this monitor especially if it’s around the 350$ price point. 1440p 240hz is the current “sweet” spot I believe.

TLDR: Received faulty monitor, power issue, returned to Amazon, Refunded, Repurchased same monitor that is fully workingThe first unit had an issue where after the boot up logo it would switch off after 5 seconds each time. I tried a different power cable, but it persisted. Since it was the day of delivery, I opted to return the unit suspecting the power board in the monitor was faulty. Putting this out there because it is a really rare circumstance for a brand-new monitor to arrive as.Amazon customer service was great, and they accepted the return. This was also after speaking with LG and them confirming such an issue would require coming in for repair (I’m glad I did not have to exercise that) and not just something you can troubleshoot. The second unit works perfectly. I highly recommend this screen for people who don’t want to take the dive into OLED yet. VRR works amazing with PS5 thanks to the HDMI 2.1 ports. I am also enjoying the added screen real estate coming from 24″. The response times are stellar as an FPS gamer and text looks pretty good when i need to work on documents. Overall recommend for someone in the less than 500 CAD price point as the monitor worth is debatable at MSRP, go for it when on offer.

Got it on sale, great for gaming

Fast monitor with good motion clarity and pretty solid for the price. Just a heads up, there is an issue with this model where the screen will get white lines and start flickering after waking from sleep. The only way to fix it is to turn it off and on again. I found multiple articles online of people with the same issue and I reported to LG but they didn’t seem to care.Edit : The fix for the issue is to set the BPC to 12 in the Nvidia Control Panel. The monitor breaks when itâs set to 8 which is default.

It’s a decent monitor and has worked well for me for about a year since buying it. Unfortunately, I lost coverage on the warranty about a month ago since you only get one year, and I kid you not, between the time my warranty was up and the time that I’m writing this review, I have gotten three brand-new dead pixels in different spots on the monitor. And since it’s past the one-year mark, I’m no longer covered under the warranty. Honestly, it’s a decent monitor, but I would probably say to anyone reading this review that you should probably look at getting one that’s not this model or even brand. If a $600 monitor is crapping out after 1 year, there are better options for the price.
