Capable of powering a full-sized laptop
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme with a 16″ screen. While not a gaming computer, it is a fairly beefy laptop used for software development, so it draws a fair amount of power. It has a pretty large power brick and dedicated power input, but can also charge via USB-C. I’ve been looking for a car charger that could keep my computer running when I’m a passenger on long drives. On a recent 1.5-hour car ride, I used this LISEN 170W charger with the included USB-C cable to keep my laptop running while I worked. Starting at about 95% charge, the computer actually gained charge while I worked and was at 100% by the time we arrived at our destination. The charger got warm, but not unreasonably hot. I had previously tried a similar device from UCANUUP that claimed 120W output, but my laptop would not accept charge from it for more than 5 seconds at a time. I can’t vouch for the LISEN’s durability, but so far, I am very pleased with its functionality.

This car block charger works very well. It charges my phone very quickly. It’s very good for value for the money, and it does not get very hot. It’s not the most compactness, but the lights help with that, and the cord link is decent, overall, very good charger thing.

Great Car charger
This is easy-to-use when plugged into the car. The length of the cord is great for either a driver or passenger in an SUV. It charges very quickly for iphones and has been working great ever since we received it a few months ago. It also allows for other chargers plugged in: so we have a Type C cable connected to charge a new Iphone as well instead of replacing the entire car charger. Itâs been a great purchase and built nicely.

Delivers on power, but heats up and then reduces power delivery
The product delivers on its power delivery promise. I got a max of 132 watts as measured by Anker 737 power bank. The power bank registered a max of 134 watts using Appleâs MacBook 140 watt charger. So very close.The problem is that it heats up when you push it to the 140 watts limit until you canât even hold it with your hands, also heats up the cigarette lighter port. Then it reduces power to 95 watts and then to 60 watts because of heat. If you move it to a different cigarette lighter it starts at 132 watts and then drops the power again.Itâs also a reliable laptop charger (65 watt for Thinkpad) and doesnât heat up when charging at medium (65 watts) power. So itâs good if you need a laptop charger.I must also say that Lisenâs customer support is beyond excellent. Theyâve reached out to me to check on the heating problem and went over and beyond to make sure I am happy. Itâs a company that stands behind its products and promises and will definitely be a top choice for my next purchase.

So Good We Bought Two!
We liked this car charger so much we ended up buying a second one so we have one in each car. Itâs been great for charging everything, from my MacBook Pro to my husbandâs Steam Deck, without any issues. Itâs sturdy, feels like itâll last a long time, and doesnât look cheap either, and it looks good too. Plus, for the price, itâs a great deal. Iâve been using this power adapter for a few weeks while on vacation, specifically in my friendâs car. My iPhone battery tends to drain quickly because I use several apps throughout the day, so I needed something to keep it fully charged. Thatâs why I decided to buy this adapter and use it every time Iâm in the car. It works very well and charges faster than I expected.The description mentioned 170W, so I decided to test it to see if it was accurate. The description is indeed true. USB 1 provides 30 watts, but when you use USB 1 and USB A at the same time, both will deliver 15 watts each. USB 2 delivers 140 watts, and this doesnât change even if you use USB 1 and/or USB A simultaneously.I also checked the temperature to make sure it doesnât overheat. After 30 minutes of use, it was still warm but not too hot. I feel confident that this product is safe, and my tests confirm that it delivers a total of 170 watts as advertised. Iâm definitely planning to buy another one for personal use and traveling.

Lives up to power claims and super durable
I now have 4 of these 170W car chargers and have recommended them to multiple friends and family. I ordered various car chargers prior to finding this gem and none of them lived up to the power delivery claims. Several had issues charging power banks with USB-C ports that could be used for either device power or charging.These Lisen chargers are rock solid. Everything I’ve connected to them has charged at the highest wattage the device supports. They do get a little warm which is expected pushing higher amperage but the heat is well mitigated with the metal housing.I have several on standby with LiFePO4 batteries and 12V sockets to be used during power outages to recharge devices, power USB lighting or small fans and a multitude of other devices that I’ve converted to use USB-C to barrel connector cables replacing bulky AC power supplies. It is effectively a massive USB power bank when paired with a 100 Ah battery.
