I like these.
I do shift work at a power plant, so Iâm constantly rotating from dayshifts to nightshifts. I was using the free disposable OSHA 3M hearing protection ear plugs, but after almost losing one in my ear canal I decided to get something more appropriate. These are quite comfortable, have yet to fall out or even come loose. They may not keep out as much noise as the purpose made hearing protection I was using, but it is enough to fall asleep and still hear an alarm. The carrying case is a nice bonus, a bit small for my fingers as I keep dropping it, but the plugs snap into place and have a home.

Helped with cats + new move
Moved into a new home and was going through the first couple weeks where my cats are adjusting to their new space and crying throughout the night. Unable to get any sleep, I did some research and decided to pick up some loops. These were a massive help, and I wouldnât have made it through those first couple weeks without them. They came equipped with the medium size, with plugs in the packaging for the XS, SM, and L. If you find that theyâre not blocking out enough sound or theyâre uncomfortable, I suggest trying out one of the other sizes. While the large fit very well, I ended up finding more success with the medium as far as comfort and noise cancellation.Iâve slept with airpods in before and they always fall out- but not once have these loops fallen out in my sleep. I did have some minor comfort issues after a couple nights of wearing them, but just rotating them in a different way completely eliminated my issues with comfort; so I suggest trying out different ways of wearing them if youâre having comfort issues. As far as the meows- it didnât block it out 100%, but it blocked it out enough that it didnât wake me up in the middle of the night, even though theyâre meowing right next to me. Even if I went to sleep while they were meowing, It blocked it out enough that I was fine. You can even play some white noise, and because dB is exponential- if you play it at a certain volume, itâll come through fairly clearly. That should drown out any other noise pretty well.I also have a terrible issue of sleeping in. I struggle with sleep apnea, and have 10 alarms in 15 minute increments in the morning to wake me up. I was worried I wouldnât be able to hear my alarms, but that hasnât been an issue what so ever; which is also due to the fact that dB is exponential, so since my phoneâs max volume is much louder than the SNR rating of these, it was able to come through no problem.Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

Ear Plugs For People Who Hate Ear Plugs
I hate ear plugs. I’ve tried all kinds from the cheap foam earplugs to expensive custom molded earplugs. I use earplugs to block out noise while I’m sleeping. I’m a side and stomach sleeper and I toss and turn all night long. The problem with every ear plug I’ve tried is I hate the pressure build up in my ears. When I turn on my side the pressure from my pillow against the ear plug is painful too. I’ve tried to cut the cheap expandable foam ear plugs in half to relieve pressure from inside my ear but nothing works. For me, wearing ear plugs are too painful, both inside of my ear and when laying on my side on my pillow.I have never been able to get through the night wearing ear plugs… until now. I was shocked. Though I am 6′ tall, I have small ear canals. Every ear plug I’ve tried is way too big. On my first night of sleep, I tried the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs with the size small tips. Though there is always a bit of pressure when things are stuffed in your ears, for the first time in my life, I was able to sleep comfortably wearing these ear plugs on the first night. Then I tried the extra small and medium size ear plugs to test whether or not the small size was the perfect fit for me. The extra small did not create a good enough seal and the pressure from the medium size tips was unbearable, as has been my experience with other ear plugs.Switching tips was easy and the ergonomics are excellent, very well designed and easy to insert and remove from my ears. I’m now getting used to wearing the Loop Quiet 2s every night. There’s a bit pressure inside of my ears caused by these plugs and, when I lay on my side, my pillow pushes against these plugs too but it’s bearable. I’m amazed. So why do I give the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs four out of five stars? The “Quiet” part in the name isn’t very “quiet.” These ear plugs make ambient noise “quieter” but not quiet. I get a good seal with these ear plugs but I still hear everything, from the compressor of my air conditioner, to a car passing by on the road with closed windows, to my breathing. I highly doubt the 24db noise reduction claim. My guess is that there’s more likely a 10 – 15db noise reduction. Still, the performance of these ear plugs are impressive enough to hush out enough noise to make them worth wearing. If there is a way for Loop to come out with Version 3.0 that’s even quieter without causing any discomfort whatsoever, they’ll have a home run. As of now, the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs are highly recommended.

They stay in but you can hear snoring
These earplugs come with multiple tips that are fairly easy to snap on and off. I have small ears, and the size small worked best for me. They came preloaded with medium tips. I purchased these because my husband snores, and I was able to insert them easily and create a seal. I could also lie on my side comfortably while wearing them. The design is superior compared to other options Iâve tried, which tend to fall out. In terms of high-quality earplugs that perform as expectedâmuffling soundâthese work well and are the best Iâve tried in the earplug category. However, I canât speak to their longevity, as Iâve only used them once. They come with four sizes of tips (XS to L) and a small carrying case.**Negatives:** After some time lying on my side, I did feel mild discomfort. While this wasnât a dealbreaker, the biggest drawback is that they didnât block out my husbandâs loud snoring. I could still hear it, and eventually, I had to leave the room. If youâre hoping these will block out loud snoring and youâre a light sleeper, these may not work for you. Iâve also tried a Bluetooth headband, but that wasnât great either. My next step is to try an earbud with Bluetooth sound to mask the snoring, but those cost $300, so I wanted to try these first. If you only need mild noise muffling, these are high-quality, reusable earplugs that come in a variety of colors.

It’s not common for me to rate a product five stars, but these ear plugs deserve this rating in my opinion and experience. Keep in mind, this is my personal and subjective review with this product.First off, of the three separate products I’ve ordered in this category, these are the only ones to give an honest SNR of -24dB. An SNR is slightly higher than an NRR, so if these were rated with an NRR, it might be -22dB. The foam ear plugs I use have an NRR of -32dB, or an SNR of about -34dB. They’re very effective at cutting down the noise, so I’ll use the foam ear plugs as an anchoring point. The Loop Quiet 2 ear plugs are almost as quiet as the foam ear plugs, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re closer to an SNR of -28dB or even -30dB. They block sound quite effectively when inserted correctly. For those who say they block no sound, I suspect they are using the wrong tips, or are not inserting correctly. (Or it’s possible the ear plugs don’t fit the same for them as they do with me.)I’ve worn these all night, for the last couple of nights, and they stay in snug, are comfortable, and do indeed block noise. I have noisy upstairs neighbours who have as much respect for others as the average sociopath, so these were a much welcomed addition to my sleep regime. They’re quiet enough to significantly block out noise, but I can still hear my alarm clock with them in, provided the volume is up quite high. There are also products to help wake up without sound, but those are for other reviews. All in all, these deserve the five star rating for honest advertising, and for being effective and comfortable.

This is my 4th pair, i have tried cheaper alternatives that have copied loops and they just aren’t as good. I’m.on pair 4 as I keep losing them.Comfort- top notch. Once they are in you can barely feel them. They do have a tendancie to fall out mid way through the night, but once I’m asleep that works for me and they don’t always fall out. The size of the plugs can be changed and a small is good for the fit i want.Noise reduction: is more than good enough for my needs. It’s not total block out but it is enough to block out my wife’s snoring and night noise. I dont hear vehicles outside the window but, if my kids shout out, I can hear that. The casing has been improved since my first pair, there’s a little seat for the plugs to sit in and it clicks gently shut but is easy to open.It has a small loop that you could attach to your key ring aswell or hang on a hook which is what I do on the side of my bedside table. They come in a variety of colours and this colour is nice and subtle. They are easy to clean too with a bit of warm soapy water.Overall you cannot beat this brand and I’ll keep returning even though there is much cheaper out there, the.loops are worth the extra. Quality is unrivalled.

Loop ear plugs are fantastic. Different types for different scenarios. I highly recommend them if you know someone who snores or have construction going on at all hours. They are comfortable enough to sleep in.
