GASKET-MOUNTED STRUCTURE: Unlike the traditional screw fixed structure, the positioning plate of the SKY81 creamy keyboard is fixed in the middle by the pressure of the upper and lower shells. There are gaskets distributed around the positioning plate to prevent direct contact between the interior and the shells, acting as a cushioning layer and effectively reducing vibration and noise generated when typing. This keyboard feels soft and even, elastic and has pure sound.
5-LAYER SOUND ABSORBING FILLING: In order to improve the noise situation, this gasket keyboard is equipped with a IXPE foam pad, PORON foam, diaphragm, EVA soundproofing foam and silicone absorbing pad in the gaps between the positioning plate, PCB board and bottom. This reduces the resonance space inside the keyboard, thereby suppressing hollow sounds and making every key press comfortable and pleasant. For gamers and office users, this keyboard is a great addition to the desktop.
HOT-SWAPPABLE SOCKET & PRE-LUBED CUSTOM SWITCHES: This 75% mechanical keyboard is compatible with 3-pin or 5-pin switches, allowing you to personalize your keyboard. The switches are individually removable and can be replaced in seconds. The SKY81 keyboard utilizes MageGee’s finely tuned switches, which are pre-lubricated at the factory and built to last up to 70 million keystrokes for responsive and creamy typing.
STUNNING RGB BACKLIGHTING: This custom keyboard has 6 sets of default gaming backlight effects (FN + 1 ~ FN + 6), and 18 built-in backlight modes, as well as adjustable light brightness and speed. Bright static and dynamic lights shine in the dark, illuminating your desktop and enhancing the gaming experience. The switch on the left side of the keyboard turns the light off/on with one click. This 75 percent keyboard supports customized light effects and you can record by pressing FN + Back.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL KNOB AND INDICATOR: The gaming keyboard features a metal knob for quick control of the keyboard lights and computer volume. By default, rotating the knob can adjust the backlight brightness, and pressing the knob can switch the lighting effects. Hold the knob for 3 seconds to switch to volume mode, then rotate it to adjust the volume and press it to turn on the media player. The 4 indicator lights on the right side can clearly display the real-time status of the keyboard.
75% COMPACT LAYOUT AND N-KEY ROLLOVER: With 83 keys, this hot-swappable mechanical keyboard retains all the necessary functionality while reducing the size by 25%, saving more desktop space. 100% anti-ghosting, each keystroke is detected correctly even if you press a lot of keys on the board at the same time. Instead of the usual solid-color keycap layout, the keyboard uses a color scheme that mixes three colors for a more vibrant and attention-grabbing look.
WIRED CONNECTION AND WIN/MAC SUPPORT: The SKY81 TKL keyboard connects via a detachable Type-C USB cable that is both stable and fast. Plug and play, easy to replace the cable. It works on both Mac and Windows systems, so there’s no need to worry about adaptation issues. Press FN + Home to switch between the two systems to help you work more efficiently.

Customers say

Customers appreciate the keyboard’s feel and design. They find it has a nice, linear feel with no feeling to an actuation point. The feet have good rubber grip for stability, and the extended legs have great rubber for grip. The keycaps look nice and feel fine. The sound quality is good, with a deep click sound without any tapping noise.

  1. Love it

    The keyboard.
The light are north facing so they may not be super bright to whoever is using it but its still pretty great. It can be mountable so you can type at an angle, it IS indeed a creamy sound and the lights are amazing. Overall i love the keyboard, the colors are pretty great as well and it even has some weight to it. Durable, nice and easy to set up, and good.

Colors nothing like pics. Not shine thru keys. Otherwise awesome keyboard
What I like: Hefty feel. Very nice deep click sound and linear feel. No harsh tinny or twang from the clicks, it kinda ends up as a thunk. Lighting controls do not use any software on the computer, lighting controls are a little time consuming to customize but is all done in hardware. (huge plus bc the previous keyboard and mouse I have used terrible bloatwares). Media knob is very convenient. Both key caps and switches are hot swappable. What i did not like: The pics on the listing showed it as a violet and a lilac. darker keys are basically grey and the rest is like faintly pink. The keycaps are not shine through, so the letters do not light up which kinda defeats the purpose.I’m planning to solve both of these issues using a set of replacement shine through keycaps in a color, but I shouldn’t have to do that. No reason for the colors to be this off and the keys to not be shine thru

    VIOLET responsive COMPANION!
This is surprisingly a good keyboard at a great value. The violet switches are a DELIGHT to type on. They aren’t the loudest switches but, not quiet either. The sound is pleasing in my opinion. The actuation force is JUST RIGHT and provides a unique typing experience. The keyboard itself is aesthetically pleasing to look at and well made. It is an INCREDIBLE value for what you get. It’s also gasket structured, adding to the experience. It has been ABOVE average for a budget keyboard. Overall, It is a good keyboard to start with but, do not expect luxury quality out of this. It is wired and does NOT have Bluetooth or wireless capabilities. Nonetheless, a GREAT hot-swappable board. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you check it out.

MageGee Sky 81 – A Marbly Typing Experience
MageGee is one of the most popular lower-priced keyboard brands. It appears that MageGee has created a higher-tier and offers more features at higher price points. And now, a MageGee keyboard can cost as much as $80. That’s still within the <$100 “budget” range, but they are offering more options. The MageGee Sky81, currently at $50, would be one of the less-expensive options among the new upper-tier of MageGee keyboards. As a typist, there are a few keyboard features that I always look for. My ideal layout is 80% TKL, but I also like "exploded 75%" (when the arrow keys and the Page Up / Page Down keys have a little distance from the main keys, making them more easily accessible). I also like having the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock indicators that are visible on the top of the keyboard. The MageGee Sky 81 ticks all these boxes. One unique feature of the MageGee Sky 81 is that it has a sliding switch on the left side that turns the RGB backlight on and off. I have not seen this on any keyboard before, and I like it. Sometimes you just don’t want the lights on, and it’s nice to be able to shut it off without having to cycle through various patterns or brightness levels.Another thing I like about the MageGee Sky 81 is that it has a knob. The knob can control the backlight patterns and brightness. It can also control media volume.* In the Box:The MageGee Sky 81 comes with a USB-C cable in a matching color, a combo keycap/switch puller, and extra white keycaps, so you can change the look of your keyboard.* Pros:When it comes to mechanical keyboards, switches can make all the difference. My favorite linear switches are Gateron Yellow/Milky Yellow switches. The MageGee Sky 81 is hot swappable with both 3- and 5-pin switches. At first, I was expecting to immediately swap the switches. But the Blue Whale switches are very good. They have a surprisingly marbly sound and feel to them, and I really like typing on them.So I don’t have any plans to swap out the switches now, but I am also happy to have that option.* Keycaps:These are double-shot cherry profile keycaps. I got the Prussian Blue, and it looks good on my desk.* Connection:The MageGee Sky 81 only works with the USB-C connection. It comes with a USB-C cord in a matching color and it is detachable. However, there are no options for 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth.* RGBThe lights are north-facing. I personally love using RGB and the Magegee Sky81 RGB lights look great.* Conclusion:The MageGee Sky81 is a very nice mechanical keyboard. A lot of affordable keyboards are described as, “it’s nice for this price,” or “good for beginners just getting into the hobby.” However, this keyboard is not just a “nice-for-cheap-price” mechanical keyboard. It’s an all-around good keyboard at a very reasonable price. The only feature that you are missing here is that there is no wireless (2.4 GHz/Bluetooth) connection. But that is really the only drawback. That is the main thing that sets the MageGee Sky81 apart from other similar keyboards such as Aula F75 or Yunzii B75 which are currently priced at about $65-80. So if you don’t need a wireless connection, this is a great option. The MageGee Sky81 is a fine mechanical keyboard that you will enjoy typing on right out of the box.

    Amazing value
This is a hefty keyboard and is heavier than many of my full sized keyboard which is actually a good thing. It’s very stable. All the feet have great rubber for grip and even the extended legs have the rubber grip as well. Everything feels very solid. I’m used to clicky browns and blues so these are very different. These are much much quieter than clicky blues and feel completely linear. There is no feel to an actuation point and only “click” When fully depressed and the entire travel is completely linear. It’s not necessarily a good or bad thing. I know some people will want an actuation click before bottoming out but these do not have that. If you don’t fully bottom out, there will not be any tapping noise at all so is great for light typers who want silence. I will say that I excitedly changed out the keys before making this review so my black pudding keycaps are not apart of this. This brings me to my tiny complaint. These are nowhere near as bright as what I’m used to and that’s compared in my video but the camera makes it seem brighter. It is dimmer in real life. Some of the settings are super dim and the brightest settings aren’t too bright. That was the main reason for me to change the keycaps. The original keycaps are not shine through so it’s even worse since only a tiny amount of light come out below the caps. The pudding caps allow for more light through which is an improvement. Also, the lights are at the top of the keys so it’s much dimmer from a user’s southern view getting the darker view.Overall, a lovely keyboard with the lack of a clicky feel and led that are a bit dim. Definitely great for the price but can get pricey if you have to purchase different switches

Cute looking keyboard but instructions all in Chinese which I am not fluent in. The lighting that goes light purple to match the keyboard only lights up an odd pattern of keys…not all of them. Not impressed, especially for the price. Returned it.

I absolutely love my keyboard, the colour is beautiful and it is nice to type on. I particularly like that it has a volume control feature in the top right hand corner, super useful. Took me a while to work out how to use some of the features, but luckily there are YouTube videos which help with this. I bought this keyboard over a month ago and am still pleased I did.

I got this product about 1 day ago and have been using it for roughly 8 hours now. The keys it comes with along with the ones that can be switched out for the different coloured ones it also comes with are pretty good and are up to my standards. It also came with a key puller that gets the job done and the cable also is just good enough. My problems start with the loose feeling volume control that feels like its wobbling if I use it too much. I rarely touch it so its fine for me. The backlighting is just okay, nothing special. It might even be on the lower quality side for those of you who like to have your keyboard light up often. I do really like that i don’t need extra software to use the lights though, which is a big plus in my book. The really bad thing about my keyboard is that the space bar doesn’t seem to be made properly and compared to every other key, sounds quite bad and hollow. All the other keys sound amazing and feel just as good but the space bar sounds extremely hollow and noticeable every time I press it.Overall I think I just got a bad egg and might have been slightly unlucky but since this is what I got, it will be what I write a review on. Would I buy this again, knowing the quality control issues I had? probably not.

Bought for my son, he liked the adjustable feet on the bottom, he liked the look of it and size which was smaller than the keyboard he had before. It works well and is built solidly. It’s a bit noisy for my liking but he doesn’t mind the noise side.
