Wow! This Headset is Amazing! Experience Well Worth the Investment!
This is my first experience with VR/AR/MR, as I chose to wait until the graphics were more impressive (actually, I’ve been waiting quite a long time… since VR conversations became fairly commonplace with the release of the Sega Genesis! Yeah… I’m that old.). I’m so glad I started with this unit (Meta Quest 3) because I was truly blown away right from the start! The setup process was easy enough, though it had its quirks (I used an e-mail setup since I don’t use Facebook). In setting up the MQ3 via my phone, I noticed I had to close the app twice to get it to resume where it left off (when you close/reopen, it recognizes you were not done and resumes without issue, so try that if you get stuck). I’ve only had it for a few days and am blown away by the Batman app (I don’t like fighting games, but this is mostly exploring with relatively little fighting), Red Matter (incredible experience; finished it yesterday!), Red Matter 2 (started today and am already hooked!), and I really love the Supernatural: Unreal Fitness program! The first two apps were free (Batman is included in the package I bought here, and Red Matter (the 1st one) came with the free Quest+ trial subscription, and I paid for the latter two. The Unreal Fitness program is $10/month, and totally worth it! You can’t know/understand until you try it, and they do give you a free week trial, btw. I am a runner (all my life) and enjoy staying in shape, and this fitness program is amazing, as they drop you in different (beautiful!) places around the world, and the music is great and the movement patterns are really fun (honestly, I didn’t think I’d like it at first, as it sounded boring… but I’m so glad I kept an open/curious mind and tried it out!). The graphics on the games is so detailed, right down to chipped paint and curling wallpaper on walls, etc… and I love the intuitive movements… I’m the guy who will squat down in these games to check under chairs and desks for clues, and it’s just so amazingly realistic! I did begin to feel somewhat panicked the first time I crawled out of the window in Batman and looked down into the alley from several stories up (and when I entered that huge generator room in Red Matter), but that just added to the experience and believability, so I’m more impressed by it than bothered! In fact, I was so impressed with the overall experience that I bought a set for my wife (she likes it, too) and another for my parents so that they can try it out! Highly recommended! I also bought the Elite Strap Battery for more comfort and to add more play time and I’m glad I did, so consider getting one of those, too (or a similar device). Oh, and you’ll need a rubber/silicone cover for the mask part (that touches your face) to protect that cloth from sweat (not sure why they put cloth there… odd). Anyway, enjoy! I certainly am!

Very Impressed So Far
First off, I’ll say that i just got this and am still testing. But so far, I am super impressed. I own an original vive that I bought day 1 and then i got a reverb g2 that I have been using until the quest 3. Both if my previous headsets were corded, limited to one area of the house, and a pain to setup and use when I wanted to play. I was using light houses as well on the reverb g2 so that I could still use my better tracking vive wands. All of it was limiting and a pain which made me end up not playing. The Quest 3 was the solution I had been waiting for!
Being able to do room setup in headset quick and easy is a dream come true. I was skeptical about the wireless capability for pcvr as well but I am blown away at how well it has worked so far. I’ve been able to play pcvr games anywhere in my house which is amazing.
The pancake lenses are so much better than the fresnek lenses also. I wear glasses, and the quest 3 works well with my glasses out of the box, although I do want to get some lens inserts later.
Everything seems very polished with a minimal amount of bugs. The AR pass through which it is somewhat grainy and not super clear, it’s fun and works very well. The sound is pretty amazing also for the type do speakers it has.. Not enough bass in beatsaber and it can’t compare to the g2 style of speakers but very impressive for what they are.
Controllers feel nice and not cheap, track well, battery life on the controllers is good. The headset itself looks and feels pretty good. I think they should have put a nose flap on it because the only place I have lightleak is at the bottom of the nose area. The strap of course is everyone’s gripe.. Yes, it isn’t great.. But tbh it isn’t as uncomfortable as what everyone keeps saying to me. It works but it just isn’t the best.
My one issue, aside from this being released by a company I don’t like, is that they want to nickle and dime everyone for things that they should have included with the headset or to fix issues with the headset.
The headset battery life is about 2 hours. That isn’t long… So they sell an overpriced better elite headstrap with an extra battery to extend it to 4 hours I think. Fixes two issues by making you pay more money. Fortunately, there are plenty of aftermarket options for battery extenders and straps that are cheaper, so you don’t have to spend more money on meta’s overpriced accessories.
I’ve seen reports of people getting headsets with dead pixels and there being quality control issues… So far I haven’t noticed any dead pixels.. Im a stickler for that stuff cause my vive had a dead pixel and it always bothered me. I’ll be checking closely to make sure the quest 3 is good.
I was going to take one star off for meta nickle and diming but the headset is so good that I won’t do that as of now. This may change later but it’s simply the best, most versatile, most polished VR headset you can get right now for this price. I guess they kept the price down by giving a crappy strap, smaller battery, etc.

O Quest 3 tem uma imersão muito boa! Com certeza a realidade virtual só está começando mas já vale estar nela desde já. Claro que há muitas coisas para serem melhoradas como, por exemplo, os videos 360° no Youtube que alguns ficam borrados mesmo com a qualidade mais alta; a loja da Meta passar a cobrar em reais e não em dólares pelos jogos e apps; outros fatores que podem ser superados durante o uso do aparelho mas que precisam ser desenvolvidos em versões posteriores. Enfim, muito bom o produto, apenas o preço que deveria ser menor conforme a conversão do dólar para o real.

Me compré otros straps con baterÃa para durar más en stand alone, pero el problema es que te hacen dudar bastante, en cambio estos están hechos para ser muy ligeros y frescos, tanto que ni siquiera se sienten al usarlos. Están perfectos, aunque hubiese preferido que lanzaran el modelo con baterÃa cuando los compré, pero no habÃan aún. Aún asà me han durado y son muy cómodos. Los recomiendo si no puedes o no quieres su versión con baterÃa y antes que comprar otras marcas que son calurosas e incómodas.

Even though it’s the most expensive and mostly unnecessary purchase I ever made in my life, it still is the best purchase I’ve made till now.
I’m writing this after a 1.5 week of using this and till this day I’m just exploring it as there’s so much to do in it and using it.
Starting off with the order and delivery:
Using the ICICI bank credit got me 4,000 rupees off from the total cost and delivery was done in 1.5 days from the seller from Chennai to Bangalore. Arrived in very safe packaging with no crack or dent on the box from Delhivery. ðð»
Opening up the box carefully gives you all the things mentioned in the product. Started it off just like the tutorials mentioned, completed the profile setup and the rest of the settings configurations.
Pros:
I’ve tried almost everything it can do to this point with it, when it comes to generic work/ productivity, entertainment, games etc.
The product is remarkable for what it can do. The performance is top-notch, no log whatsoever anywhere, visuals are stunning in the apps and movies. Connectivity with bluetooth and controllers is seamless. Pixel spreading is done fantastically on the pancake lenses. Everything is quite sharp as well. It gives you dozens of settings as well to configure the product according to your liking.
Many visual experiences will leave you in awe. Batman: Arkham Shadow and Asgard’s Wrath: 2 being the most powerful examples of he point. The sound via the built-in speakers is very immersive as well. UI is quite well built and is easy to access everything but there’s a lot of improvement required to make it customisable although the Spatial app makes the UI just like Apple Vision Pro but at a cost. More updates will hopefully fullfill these requirements.
Cons:
It is so much fun to play around/ work and watch multimedia in it that you feel like the 2 hr battery run time isn’t even close to enough. So I would recommend everyone to get a power bank with similar Ampere and Wattage attached to it to extend your juice.
Connectivity of it with PC wirelessly to use your PC in the headset still lags even with the v69 update with my laptop. But I’m sure the link cable, which I haven’t tested yet, will solve this problem for PCVR games and general multitasking work.
Most of the fun and useful apps in the Meta Store are still paid and some are paid even if you activate your 3-month Meta Quest+ trial.
None of the above are the cons of the product itself.
Conclusion: The product and my experience with it has been fantastic and still there is much to explore. If you are happy with spending the price, you would be very happy with the product as well! Thanks!
