Fantastic For My Home Server!
This amazing mini-PC has been working extremely well for my home server! I’m running Proxmox with a couple handfuls of VM’s and LXC’s… but I’m sure Windows would run great on it too.Runs quiet and cool, and FAST! Also, I love the push-to-open top for each access. Would totally buy again — and I will be recommending this one to my other nerdy friends/co-workers.

Great machine for K3s and Docker
I bought this for the number of threads it has, 20 Threads and 2.5 GbE!I install 2x32GB Crucial DDR4 SODIMM.K3s and Docker run like a charm among other Linux goodness!This unit can be powered with USB C.There is another version of Minisforum Mini Computer NAB9 with i9-12900HK cpu and dual 2.5 GbE ports if you are looking for dual Ethernet.

Already got my Windows 10 system transported into it, thanks to Macrium Reflect Free and 30 years experience playing with Windows. NaturallySpeaking is working (a systemwide thing). My external security microphone (Marantz USB) is working at only 15 W when I’m not using this PC. To draw models for a 3D printer, Fusion 360 is working (seems my little designs won’t strain it). A major (in my little world) pleasant surprise… Wanted dual 2280 NVMe drive slots, but settled for this one’s 4.0 single slot. Added a $30 USB adapter for NVMe drives (the one that looks like a thin square puck). It appears the two drives, external and internal, are transferring files fast even when outside of Windows, unlike when I used an NVMe adapter card in a prior big rig. That is a pleasant surprise. If things go south, like the system dies from overheating, or like whatever, I will just reduce this review’s rating. I do long, 5+ GB, NVMe file transfers for backup and restoring windows, so hopefully they have that covered in the cooling system.

Not much else to be said, it works as expected. Much faster than previous generations with an N100 that can end up similar prices.The description doesn’t mention it does come with some version of windows installed, which I promptly formatted. (Hook up a wired keyboard and keep mashing Del to get the bios)

Originally I was going to test product OS on this. Product did not recognise the ethernet ports, so I wen to a plan B – find a Linux product that would install. I ended up with Rocky 9.4 — ubuntu 20.04 was an install fail, and got it mostly configured for the local needs. The device ran quiet and steady.

Plugged in a network cable, monitor and keyboard and set back. Quick startup had a number of updates then login to my office 360 apps and I was working.Quick computer for my needs, running Word, Publisher, excel, access and power point. Yes forgot Outlook and teams.Bought a USB expansion not slow anything down.The only thing small so far is the price and space need to set it.

Easy to setup and appears solid
This is for a MINISFORUM Mini PC NAB9 Intel Core i9-12900HK unit that I recently purchased. It was easy to setup and after about 30 minutes of Windows updates for Windows 11 Pro it was ready to go. Its very quiet and even when the fans do kick up it’s hard to tell. I’ve been doing software development for 40+ years and for the price this is a great deal if you ask me. I will update this review if any issues do popup. It replaced a 8+ year old gaming PC that always had the loudest fans.

difficult to install linux
the efi boot partition was locked, as a result i was unable to install linux in a separate partition. what should have taken a few minutes drug out for several hours. i eventually gave up on dual-booting and just wiped the disk. otherwise a decent little machine with a good selection of ports.

La computadora dejó de funcionar sin más a los dos meses de su uso. Usada con nobreak y regulador porque sabemos que este tipo de disposivitos son de un bajo voltaje. Revisando por posbiles problemas similares encuentro que es un problema que ha sucedido a varios usuarios y mencionan que es la fuente de poder.Hoy estoy tratando de iniciar un proceso de devolución, pero no veo la opción en mi lista de pedidos.

De la nada teniéndola conectada en el regulador donde mismo que tengo un play5 y un monitor dejó de prender la PC. Revisándola me comentan que tiene un corto circuito en la tarjeta madre. Totalmente decepcionado de mi compra
