My old ThinkPad SL410 that I use in the workshop is really slow. I was tired of this so I ordered a 256 GB SSD and installed Linux Mint on it. Also bought an OEM Lenovo 2.4/5GHZ WiFi card on *Bay (auction site) to replace the stock 2.4GHZ only WiFi card along with this 8GB Motoeagle memory kit from Amazon. Never heard of Motoeagle but their kit worked out of the box and I haven’t had a hiccup in 2 weeks of use from any of the new hardware. And although it’s not speedy, the ThinkPad is now certainly much faster and snappier that the old incarnation of Windows 7 Pro on a mechanical HDD with 2GB RAM.

This RAM works just fine to upgrade an old Toshiba Satellite L755-S5356 laptopfrom 4 GB of RAM to 8 GB of RAM. I have used Motoeagle RAM to upgrade a couple of other older laptops to larger amounts of RAM and it works fine. Inexpensive. Easy way to breathe some life into an old laptop.

I had to purchase a new 8gb stick for an Imac that had a bad ram slot. It had 2 4gb sticks and so I bought the largest single stick offered for a fair price. There were a few single 16gb sticks being offered by other sellers but they were all WAY too expensive, over $100. I ran tests several times, and so far it has been working great.

After plugging this SODIMM in for an upgrade to 8GB of RAM, my Laptop would not boot up properly. It would not display the HP logo BIOS splash and the CPU fan went into full speed and nothing else happened. Switched off & removed SODIMM and all was well, Laptop booted up properly.Took out the original 4GB SODIMM in case it was incompatible and plugged this 4GB SODIMM in on it’s own and got the same result after switching Laptop on. Conclusion – SODIMM is faulty and I returned it to Amazon for a full refund.(I’m an IT Consultant with 35 years plus experience in the business and know what I’m doing).
