Can anyone ever make this work?
Setting up a phone should be simple, right? Three people in my household have tried to make this work, including a techie. Youtube videos, instruction manual, manufacturers website… Nothing fixed everything. These problems remain: sometimes rings, sometimes doesn’t, sometimes only once. In a small apartment, and within manufacturers range, extensions had “out of range” error messages. This was not consistent. Sometimes they worked, which only fooled us into trusting them again, only to have the same problem. This is a two line phone, but sometimes Line 2 drops out. We have no idea if someone called until they complain later. Dreadful experience.

A Decent Phone
This phone replaced a well-beloved office phone that after 25 years finally “gave up the ghost.” The Motorola is as advertised. The extension after a while starts to echo and feedback if on speaker. And I have yet to be able to get OUT of speaker mode. The displays on both are small. Still, over all, it is a decent product with which I am satisfied.

Great…but…
I really, really liked this phone. The “but” is that I have several other Motorola phones and it was not compatible, so very reluctantly, I sent it back. But if you are not trying to marry it to existing equipment, I think you will love it.

Would not recommend
The cordless set cannot be too close to the base phone or you get a weird interference. The caller ID is not large enough to be easily readable. People can’t hear me using the corded handset; I use a separately purchased headset instead, which the phone easily accommodates. I bought this because I loved my Motorola cordless phone that lasted 20 years before the display faded. The old phone a night ringer setting which would prevent the phone from ringing between nine o’clock a night and six in the morning. This phone doesn’t have that setting. I had to by a separate caller ID box because the screen is too small to read.

Not worth the money
Received this phone on 9/2/2022, by 11/1/2022 one of the lines was not working and phone company did all sorts of tests and then ruled it was the phone. Line 1 worked but not line 2. Very disappointed for the money spent on this phone because the reviews were supposed to be good.

Easy to dial
No matter how long it takes for me to dial a number, it always goes through.

A good value for the money. I like the choice of ring tones and the large memory for answering data.

Line one which is our main phone line will not work. Hangs up when you call in and will not roll over to the second line. I had bell come in thinking it was the lines. All lines working properly. Now I’m to later for a return. A waste of money.

I bought this phone as an extension to an ML25255. After connecting the two, this phone (ML25260) worked for about a day. The next day when I pick up the phone, there is no dial tone. Tried everything in the users manual and researched online, but to no avail. Also, I had to pay an extra $17.00 as Cash on delivery towards import duties – this was not mentioned at the time of purchase. And the icing on the cake – I have to pay to return this to the seller. Don’t get this phone even if someone gives it to you for free.
