Quality for the Money!
Well constructed and seems to be of good quality. Dropped in a Ryzen 5 5600X and 32 gb of Corsair 3200 ram and off it went. No bios update needed for 5000 series CPU. The only thing I had to do was to enter the BIOS and enable XMP profile 1 to get the RAM to 3200 mhz clock speed. By default it set to 2133 mhz. After that I saved and exited and booted right into Windows. The BIOS is intuitive and easy to navigate. There is an easy mode and advanced. All motherboard settings are there for overclocking. Supports Re-sizeable Bar as well for enhanced GPU features (if your GPU supports it).The MSI B550 pro also has addressable headers for RGB fans as well as a pump header for AIO liquid cooling. Please note that it does not have WiFi or Bluetooth. At least not this model. The motherboard has all the usual ports for expansion as well as 2 NVME drive slots. There is also a small switch on the board to enable/disable lights.Overall, I am satisfied with this motherboard and applaud MSI for building an awesome product. I will almost certainly be going with MSI in the future.Dare I say I even like it better than my ASUS b550 Strix Wi-Fi II. It was certainly easier to set up and performs just as good.

So far so good
I choose this motherboard after reading countless reviews because of sobriety, very good VRM and nice features, including USB-C for the price. What I want is a good, fast, stable and long lasting PC for the next 10+ years or so. I won’t be doing any overclock, just regular stuff and gaming. Can’t say about the RGB lights because I turned them off right away before assembly with the handy switch at the lower end.My build:* MSI B550-A PRO. This beauty. Again, the VRM is very important for durability.* Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 X 16GB) DDR4 3600. Plenty for the time being and detected automatically in the BIOS.* AMD Ryzen 7 5700G. If you intend to use the integrated graphic card in this processor, buy DDR4 3600 RAM because it is faster for shared memory.* Samsung 980 SSD 1TB. Great quality, durable and very fast. The main NVMe slot, don’t forget, has better I/O speed vs the second one at the bottom.* A nice, generic case with frontal USB-C.Works fine with Windows 10 Pro but It’s also compatible with Linux out of the box. Tested distros: MX Linux 21 (AHS), Manjaro and Mabox Linux. I don’t like Win11 but the BIOS has fTPM and a TPM connector if you want to buy your own.

Great ATX Motherboard for Performance System
The motherboard was easy to install in my existing system case upgrading the processor, memory, and dGPU. Installed a Ryzen 9 5900, 64GB DDR4-3200, 1TB M.2 2080 PCIe 4×4 SSD, and an RTX 4070 in one system. The other system was a Ryzen 9 3900, 32GB DDR4-3200, 512GB M.2 2080 PCIe3x4 SSD, and an RTX 4070. There’s a heat-spreader for the M.2!It requires some patience on first boot since the FW seems to “think” a long time without writing to the screen, but it eventually came to the BIOS splash screen. I did update the BIOS to the latest version right away since the shipping version was outdated (may have been fine but why take chances). The BIOS update procedure is simple–just download, unzip to a connected drive, boot to the UEFI BIOS, go to update BIOS mode, reboot, and point to the BIOS file on the connected drive. The update process will finish up and the system will reboot. I did have to set the memory speed to the profile to support its speed–it did not automatically choose the correct JDEC/XMP profile for 1600MHz/3200MT/s.After installing Windows 11 Pro and my application/utility suites, the system has been stable through some very heavy use: transcoding videos with CPU and GPU using Handbrake, creating/editing videos using DaVinci Resolve, editing photos with Lightroom/ACR/Photoshop, and running a range of development and productivity applications. CPU-z confirms that PCIe is running at Gen4 speeds, and the memory is running at the correct profile/speed.In all, the motherboard is a good value for the performance and stability that it delivers.

En cuento a sus caracterÃsticas es una Motherboard muy completa y de una muy buena calidad, único detalle que le encontrarÃa es que la cubierta de los puertos es fea, pero ya es un gusto personal y no afecta en nada al rendimiento del equipo

My 4th build with a AM4 motherboard. This board does everything I need, seems sturdy. No issues with updating firmware (there’s a button…this is essential because if it fails during a firmware update, your motherboard is a brick — this happened to me once. This motherboard has a button and USB slot so you can reinstall the firmware and not lost a motherboard! That by itself is worth it.)Didn’t run into any problems at all — but noticed nice things I appreciated when building.
