A Real Hit
I wasn’t sure if this would be beyond the capability of my 5-year old grandson, but, I’m old and failed to realize that he was very capable and already computer literate. He opened it at my Christmas gathering, had his Dad activate it (and associate it with his Amazon account), and was deeply engrossed in it within 20 minutes. He has been on it all weekend since getting it on Friday.The games appear to be age-appropriate and he truly loves this device. It is a great alternative to an iPad and is very rugged in its case.I highly recommend this as an excellent pad at an excellent price.Note: You should charge the device, without setting it up, before giving as a gift. If you are giving it to someone who lives in your own household then you can have it ‘Associated with your Amazon Account’ when you order it. Otherwise, do not associate it with your own Amazon account when ordering.Note: I also ordered a MicroSD card to insert it this device but it is not required. I just know that more memory is good.

My daughter had a kindle fire kids tablet for many yrs and it finally stopped working .This tablet exceeded my expectations.very child friendly,tons of games..etc to download ,excellent parental controls,and stellar battery lifeâ¦

Very durable and a go to for kids tablets
It’s a standard amazon fire tablet but with a protective case fit for kids and an app that’ll switch to kid friendly content. You can download an app to your own phone and control the amount of time they spend on the tablet which I find amazing. Plus the ease of not having to worry about replacing it when it’s broken due to Amazon’s return policy for these. Definitely worth the price.

We got the 7inch one and had low expectations, the durability Is incredible and the processing system is ok for a kid. This one and the 7 inch both survived an accidental pool immersion, they still work perfectly fine.

Great tablet for little kids!
Easy to use and set time limits. We now have 3 of them and they’re great for all my kids. Even my 8 year old still uses hers, a lot. We mostly use it in the car and not for home use. Hooks up great to my phone’s hot spot so they can do more than just their downloads.

No YouTube Parental Controls
This is possibly the worst thing I’ve ever purchased. I don’t think I’ve ever hated any device this much.First of all, we mainly got this so our daughter could watch YouTube Kids without having one of our phones. Guess what app this blocks and won’t download? Not only that but there is no way to set parental controls on the regular YouTube app without blocking the whole thing. The problem is now she keeps getting the weirdest content I don’t want her to watch, like videos of kids getting chased by monsters, so I don’t want to give her access to YouTube at all which defeats the ebtire point.Generally that just leaves Netflix, which lacks good content for very small children. Most of the other apps are absoluteky mindless nonsense with no real value besides maybe hypnotizing your kids for whatever amount of time you don’t want to interact with them. I’m gonna try to refund this so we can just buy a regular tablet where I can customize the apps and content myself. I’m extremely disappointed with this product and would give it 0 starts if I could.

As soon as i seen Mcqueen it was ordered lol my son is obsessed with him, and we already have one tablet like this from a couple years back same sale black Friday but the mickey mouse one and we love these tablets for our kid’s amazon kids is great safe and super entertaining for our littles
