Saved me from buying a new battery!
EDIT 2/26/24: I am now the blocks “AAA”. Been helping people start their cars when jump starts with cables have not worked. Definitely handy to get other people out of an otherwise expensive pinch.I have a car battery that I purchased around 2016 (date of review 1/3/24). The car itself does not get driven much, at most 2-3 times a week no longer than 15 minutes one way.Throughout the years I’ve drained it by leaving the car lights on. Its always required a jump start after that to get going again. Recently I’ve been an idiot and been leaving my lights on more frequently. Eventually it required me to jump start everytime I wanted to turn on the car. It was becoming a hassle and I was about to call it quits and purchase a new battery until I came across Project Farm’s review on battery chargers. This was at the top of the list so I figured to give it a shot.I was not disappointed! I charged it for 4 days straight, put it in my car, and it started right up. Not surprised considering it was just charged but the real test laid ahead. I was going to be out of town for two weeks and leave the car sitting. I came back two weeks later and the car started up, no hesitation whatsoever, as if it was a different battery!The NOCO Genius 10 saved me about $150-200 at least in a brand new battery. On top of that, I can now use it for other batteries in the event of any similar issues. The instructions on the other hand are a bit confusing and had to rely on YouTube comments to piece it together.For those who are confused at what to do, I did not do a 12V repair (function which this unit has) as it requires the battery to be completely charged first. All I did was charge it straight for 4 days uninterrupted.When first put on battery to the charger it will be in standby mode. You push (or hold depending on what you need) the MODE button to select your desired option. I was charging a lead acid battery so I selected 12V. The meter at the top slowly advanceD from each of the four bars until the final bar was pulsing green which indicates its charging to full (over 80% I believe). The green charging light continued to slowly pulse even on the 4th day but I took a gamble and disconnected it from the battery. For the battery to be 100% charged, the green light should stay solid. That means my battery worked 2 weeks later after sitting and it wasn’t even at 100%.The unit can also force a charge on batteries that are extremely under voltage. Thats a separate setting that I haven’t had to use yet. It can also charge AGM and Lithium but I believe the 12V repair function is only for lead acid.Unfortunately I had to go through 3 separate orders because the first two were from Amazon Warehouse and I encountered issues with both, consecutively. I ended up getting frustrated and just purchased a brand new charger.Pros:Solid build qualityExcellent cable connections with weather coversCompatible with a wide variety of batteriesRepair and Force charge batteriesCons:Poor instructionsCharge is slow BUT I think thats how these chargers workTL;DRTry this first before rushing to get a new battery it is a good investment that can save you a lot of money

Compact, fast and smart
I bought this to replace an old Die Hard brand charger that still works but is antiquated compared to the Noco Genius 10. I bought it to maintain and charge the batteries on my BMWs, especially as weâre approaching colder spells that can wear a battery down. One of my cars gave me a âcharge batteryâ indication, and I wanted something that would restore my battery to full charge and optimum performance better than an hour of driving on the highway.The design of the Noco Genius 10 is surprisingly compact and lightweight. Usage is intuitive, which is good because it comes with no owners manual or documentation about how to use it. I scrolled to the AGM setting and was good to go. The battery was restored and fully charged within two hours. I also like that it has maintainer and desulfator functions like I found on more expensive CTEK units I was considering.My only major complaints are that the power cable isnât particularly long and I needed to use a short extension cord (heavy duty 12awg) to reach the power outlet and that the clips were a little fussy to attach securely to the positive terminal and a ground connection. I did appreciate that the charger would not work until a proper ground connection was made (a feature my old Die Hard unit lacked).

First Use
I used it straight out of the box on the battery in my VW TDi (Diesel – big, battery). It seemed to perform perfectly. I replaced a Stanley 6 Amp slow charger which was stuck in “float” change, fraction of an amp, which made it a very slow charger indeed.The NOCO is fast strong and intuitive to use. It seems to perfectly charge the lead-acid battery on my car, I expect to use it on the Lithium/Fe battery in my RV and hope it performs as well on that. I’ll also see if the “refresh” feature will “brighten up” my VW battery since it’s a bit cranky after a period of poor charges.

Worked great for my truck and lawn mower
I’m an otr trucker. I’m out for 2 – 4 weeks at a time. My lawn mower wouldn’t start. My personal truck would go into battery saving mode when turned off for the last two years.I was able to get my mower started and stop my truck from going into battery saving mode with this charger. Oddly enough it only took about an hour on each to resolve my problems. The lawn mower starts and my truck hasn’t given me a notification that it entered battery saving mode in a week.Great charger, got it on an excellent sale. Make sure to read instructions and watch youtube videos as needed.*Truck went into battery saving mode after writing this. Will have to give it another run.

Beware!!! This is an awesome product, but be CAREFUL, it needs to be plugged in. The company has other chargers that work independently without the need to be plugged in. This will not work if you are stranded and need a jump start!!!! Beware!!!

Easy to Connect, Quick Charging with Different Modes

Over the last 4 years Iâve been able to recharge multiple 12v batteries (auto starter batteries, marine deep cycle and lithium batteries) with this single excellent unit, itâs now definitely paid for itself. This includes running my oldest deep cycle battery through the Repair Mode (gave it almost 2 days on the bench) and saw an improvement in the final state of charge. The Manual mode worked to allow me to recharge a completely discharged 0 volts car battery within 6 hours, thanks to its 10Amp capability. I recommend this charger, would buy again.

This is not a UK version, something that really should be made clear.Still, it was simple (if tedious) enough to fit a UK plug. No earth wire – not sure if that’s an issue, but I’m not an electrician.Works just the same as the Genius 5 I already have, charges fairly fast and well, and with no fuss. It tops my fairly big battery up in a few hours.It works, and reliably. My car starts strongly every time, even after a long period of lying then given a top up charge. Enough said.Excellent charger, quicker than the Genius 5 (which still did the job, only slower) but annoying that I had to read the small print to realise I’d been mis-sold a US version.
