Powerful 11 mm driver: We’ve made our driver even more compact. With double the power than Ear (2), Ear (a) delivers an even deeper bass performance. The extra space gives sound waves more room to vibrate. With two new vents, airflow is improved inside the bud. For less distortion and richer overall clarity
Smart Active Noise Cancellation: Up to 45 dB,Nothing Ear (a) automatically checks for noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it. So you receive the best possible noise cancellation. Happens every time you put them in. So you can go from quiet rooms to busy streets without hearing a thing (other than what’s playing)
Clear Voice Technology: Clear as day. Ear (a) isolates your voice from everyday distractions so calls on-the-go feel like face-to-face conversations. With a new talk mic and extra airway on the stem for wind to pass through, we’ve reduced interference by 60% compared to Ear (2)
Long Playtime, Fast Charging: For speedy power-ups, Ear (a) can Fast Charge for 10 minutes and deliver 10 hours of music playback (with ANC turned off). Compared to Ear (2), Ear (a) can deliver 40.5% more non-stop play time on a single charge. Or pop your earbuds back in the case and stretch listening time to over 42.5 hours (with ANC turned off),Playback with ANC on: Up to 24.5 hours with case and 5.5 hours with buds only,Talk time with ANC off: Up to 23 hours with case and 5.2 hours with buds only
More Performance: Low Lag mode,Reduced audio lag for better gaming. Triggered automatically in Game Mode on a Nothing phone. With end-to-end latency at less than 120 ms.Stay connected to two devices at the same time. Play music on your laptop then seamlessly switch to answer a call on your phone. Effortless.Adaptive ANC,Next-level escapism. Switch between 3 levels of noise cancellation. Or let Ear (a) take control. By selecting ‘Adaptive’ in the Nothing X app, Ear (a) automatically applies the right level of noise cancellation according to your surroundings in real time

AWESOME.
I did a good amount of research and read a lot of positive reviews on these Nothing Ear (a) buds and bought them to replace a set of Costco-bought Hypersonic earbuds after I lost the left one. Didn’t want to spend $250 – $300 on earbuds so the Ear (a) buds were in the range I was looking for. I am not what I’d call an “audiophile.” although I do most of my headphone listening on a pricey pair of Beyerdynamic T1’s powered through a Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amp, and I am a musician so my trained ear DOES appreciate quality sound. These slick little Ear (a) buds did not disappoint! I use them with an iPhone and they produce nice, clean sound with great range and tonality. Good separation regardless of the type of music you like to listen to. The fit is snug but comfortable (and they come with 3 different size soft ear bulbs for many ear shapes and sizes). The noise cancelling does not totally block louder outside sounds but, when combined with a proper fit, it is adequate even when doing noisy tasks like mowing the lawn or using power tools. So when using them in more normal settings, like on a plane or in a room of people talking, they are very good at screening out extraneous noise so you can focus on the music. The bluetooth connection is easy and solid and they have not randomly disconnected once since I’ve had them, unlike other earbuds I’ve used. And I love the the bright yellow color! Sure makes it easy to spot them when I set them down somewhere and have to search the house for them (happens a lot!). Battery life seems very good and recharging is quick. I can easily get an entire day of listening out of one charge. Oh, and the app is fantastic for controlling the buds and customizing the sound with the equalizer to set your own personal listening preference. I’m hoping these Nothing Ear (a) buds last a long time and I’d highly recommend them!

Best Value for Price in the headphone market
Overall these headphones are super solid! For the price (I bought it for US$91 post-tax with coupons clipped) these are almost measuring up to AirPods Pro even while being cheaper than their base model. Overall sound quality is more-or-less comparable to AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, if not then maybe slightly worse. These are NOT the headphones for audiophiles, but that should be obvious for any Bluetooth set. These are really sleek-looking and sound decently well. Unlike AirPods, it does have universal support for in-ear detection and universal support for adaptive mode on ANC. Also, they have equalizer settings in the Nothing X app, which is also a really sleek, good-looking, and easy-to-use app. There are many other settings, including a dual connection option and a low-latency mode combined with several other great customization features.Three main flaws (but they are minimal):1. Great ANC (noise cancellation), BAD transparency. The transparency is not even in the same league as AirPods Pro transparency. I really do not like Apple as a company but their AirPods Pro are good (ignoring the price) I bought these to try to replace the AirPods Pros but unfortunately that’s not going to happen due to the poor transparency mode. I plan to use these with my non-apple devices for audio because of the compatibility and in-ear detection.2. “ChatGPT Integration” is not supported on any phone except the Nothing Phone 1, 2, and 2a. I tried using this with my Pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro and after searching found that the ChatGPT integration is just the voice mode on the app but used as a shortcut and only for Nothing phones. This should definitely not be an issue if it was a true integration and even if it isn’t, it should still be doable on at least Android devices. It is ignorable though because Gemini is available to use as the voice assistant on Android and Apple Inteligence is coming soon to iPhone.Otherwise, it’s perfect! It’s easy to overlook the issues, so I just wanted to clarify that these are the only problems I saw. Otherwise these re best value for money true wireless earbuds!

A fine, mid-priced ANC earbud. Bass-heavy tuning a bit muddy for my taste.
I bought these Nothing Ear (a) and the EarFun Air Pro 4, and A/B tested them for about two weeks. I kept the EarFuns. For me they had better noise cancelling (noticeably better while driving my old F250), less bass-heavy tuning, more flexible controls, and a full-featured, useful app that includes the ability to save several custom EQ settings. The Ear (a) case is a bit of a pain: annoying to open, and fiddly to load buds into. All that said, the Ear (a)s have their charms. The buds stay in my ear well (even in bed), and are comfortable for hours at a time. Battery life was fine. Despite the bass-heavy presentation, I found them to be a bit more engaging to listen to than the EarFuns. Made a few calls with the Ear (a)s and people had no complaints about volume or legibility. The Ear (a)s are well rounded and hard to fault for the price, but not perfect. I find the sound a bit boomy, and the app’s “equalizer” function is limited in how one can shape the sound [one must upgrade to the Ear (without the a) to get a proper multi-band equalizer]. The noticeable difference in noise canceling was the deciding factor in my sending the Ear (a)s back. I really don’t want to spend over $100 for a set of buds, but may need to to find that ideal balance of musicality, noise cancellation, and app usability. The search continues…EDIT: Found the sound quality I was searching for in the Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro+. Touch controls on the buds work great, app and battery life are OK, and the soundâWOW.

Work well and better than more expensive options
Actually stay in my earsDon’t have to risk dropping calls like an expensive competitor model because they don’t fall out and don’t end the calls when I adjust their position (cough, *amsung). The case is compact and easy to use. Charge duration is ok but the case recharges quickly. Sound quality is very good. Recommend. I have not used the higher prices ones but I think the return on investment is small from what I’ve read

The fit is great, comes with small medium and large tips. Noise cancelation and transparency are the best I’ve found yet, these are great for blue collar workers. The pinch feature is a game changer since I no longer have to remove my gloves to pause, skip songs, etc.Absolutely recommend, audio quality is solid too.

Easy to pair, lange batterijcapaciteit. Mooie design. Blijft goed in de oren zitten

Bättre bas och batteritid än mina AirPods Pro gen 1. Ungefär samma nivå på noise cancelling, fortfarande betydligt sämre än over-ear hörlurar.

Het geluid en de bass zijn echt super
