Best Budget Gaming Headsets on the Market
I bought a pair of NUBWO U3 gaming headphones for about $18 each in 2018 after seeing a favorable write up online. My expectations were low due to the price point, but I was pleasantly surprised with the fit, sound quality and durability.The headphones were comfortable on my head and on the heads of my children ages 5-11. The sound was surprisingly good with decent bass in it. The mic is clear, although you can sometimes hear background noise. These aren’t noise cancelling headphones, but they do a decent job of cutting out external noise.My son, who is now 7 1/2, is rough on electronics and his head set lasted almost 2 1/2 years without any issues. It started to short out by the plug in the last month, but honestly I was surprised they lasted this long. By comparison I bought LogiTech G933 gaming headphones for $100 and they broke in 3-4 months with me using them carefully.I just bought another pair today for $13 each. One to replace my son’s headset and the second to put in the closet in case we need it.I’d recommend the NUBWO U3 at a higher price point based on quality, but for $13-18 it’s an outright steal of a deal. I’d recommend them for all parents shopping for their kids or for any budget conscious gamers.

Works really great with PS4 console and online gaming! I was a bit skeptical about the headset because of the price and thought maybe the headset might feel weird or perhaps the audio quality was going to be bad, but I am really impressed on the overall quality AND with such a low price it’s honestly a deal and worth it! I mostly enjoy the mute and audio volume control located on the chord itself. It’s so convenient to lower and raise the volume without needing your TV controller and can actually go fairly loud.My buddy has an actual PS4 Bluetooth/wireless headset and honestly he has the most problems with headsets out of anyone. lol. It either loses signal, sounds distorted, or when the charge is going low it sounds extremely choppy. I’m an old school gamer, I enjoy a simple plug in headset and bam! I’m ready to play.The other great thing I enjoy is the headset has a one year limited warranty! Even if the headset lasts me a year and a day and I can no longer replace, for what it’s worth I will still be satisfied and mostly likely buy another.** Just a friendly tip if using for PS4, if you have the audio settings to “Microphone only” when using the headset and will be using the TV for gaming audio, you will only be able to listen out of one ear. I’m assuming so can hear part TV part headset. I would recommend switching microphone audio to “All Audio”. Only then can you hear both gaming and chat audio from both sides of the headset and it’s soooo much clearer.**

Works as intended. Only problem is after 3-4 years, the microphone starts acting up. Sometimes has issues connecting with certain devices, but not a big issue and can be easily dealt with.

Great product; limited noise cancellation
This product was extremely good for the price. You can tell itâs not super duty quality, but it work well and has been since may when I bought it. Fits nice with adjustable heights for the over ears and moveable microphone. Contains a mute switch as well. One thing is that itâs not 100% noise cancellation, itâs more of 25%-30% which doesnât really affect my use. I used it for gaming and only one thing has let me down which is that sometimes you have to unplug it and then plug it back in, in order for it to work. Iâm not sure if that just my Xbox, but thatâs what I seemed to notice. Other than that it was a very good headset and I suggest this product.

Mic broke in 2-3 months – but seller sending replacement
Using this for video calls during stay-at-home for work / school for the family.The earpiece for this works fine, and the over ear headphones provide moderate sound isolation (good for the wearer to prevent outside distractions, though they may talk louder and disturb others because it’s hard for them to judge how loud they are).The issue is with the mic. Within 2-3 months, the mic started to crackle and cut out. I tested it myself using a record/playback (can find these in Skype, Zoom, etc.) and noticed a few things: 1) sometimes the mic would work perfectly; 2) sometimes the mic would not pick up well; 3) some times the mute button would either not work or would have a delayed reaction (you hit mute, and it still pics up a few seconds of what you are saying). This could be an embarassing issue depending on how you use your mute button. See other reviews for similar issues with the mic.At any rate, the return window is very short (~1 month) on Amazon, but if you contact the seller they do have a 12 month warranty and responded promptly to take care of the issue.Service from seller was good (pending arrival of replacement), but that said, quality could be better.

I’ve been rocking these headphones for under two years, and let me tell you, theyâve got some personality! After the first year, the soft material that touches your ears decided it wanted to shed like a dog in summer, leaving charming little black flakes all over my ears and neck. A new fashion statement, perhaps?As for the microphone handle, it’s got a flair for the dramatic. Drop it less than ten times from a mere 3 feet, and it goes all âdivaâ on you, breaking off completely and rendering the mic utterly useless. Talk about overacting!The construction is as flimsy as a house of cards in a windstorm, and the plastic is about as cheap as it gets. If you’re looking for a pair of headphones with a short lifespan and a penchant for self-destruction, these are perfect for you!
