My new favorite headphones for editing, music, and video calls
I have owned countless headphones over many years. Recently, most of my headphones are branded with marketing terms such as “gaming” and “wireless” and “virtual surround.” My most recent set of favorite headphones were a set of Razer Blackshark wireless headphones that sounded pretty good and had pretty dang accurate positional audio. But, they are large and, as with nearly all headphones on the market (and certainly the vast majority of “gaming” headphones), they have a factory EQ curve built into the headphones such that even a “flat” EQ in the software gives a low-end bias.These have a much flatter response curve, at least to my ear. When listening to music, I can actually use my computer’s software EQ to customize the sound profile and it is far more accurate than any other headphones that I own. Where these really shine though is in my video editing. As a hobby, I do a lot of gaming videos with voiceovers. These allow me to ear a far-closer-to-reality reproduction of my voice and allows me to more accurately master not just my voice, but the game audio as well.I have had these loud enough to cause permanent damage and have never heard any distortion. Thankfully, these come with enough different sized ear-buds and the shape is so well made that you don’t need to put them super loud to block out a lot of ambient noise. I also wear these on airplanes now and they’re even more comfortable than my over-ear JBL noise-cancelling headphones that I used to wear on every flight.Speaking of: Long-term comfort. I frequently have this on for many hours at a time, typically 2-3 hours without a break, and up to 12 hours in total for a single day. I have zero pain, zero comfort.In short: I absolutely love these headphones. They are my daily drivers and I will likely not switch away from these anytime soon.

Good, competent IEMs
These are good, competent IEMs. That’s probably the best way to explain them. These don’t do anything to sound great, but they are far from bad…they’re squarely better than average in the best way possible, non-offensive. At $99 I’d say these IEMs are a fair value, but there’s lots of competition at this price point.Starting with the unboxing, NICEHCK has a nice size box with outer sleeve and then the inner box folds open. The IEMs are cased in thick padding and the blue faux leather case is below with the spare tips inside. As far as accessories, you get the nice pill box style case. Case is nice for storage or travelling, but not something you can slip in your pocket. Then you get S/M/L black tips which are pretty soft and the a set of S/M/L/XL/XXL white candy style tips. I ended up using the L candy tips, but that’s a personal preference. The included cable can be 3.5mm single ended or 4.4mm balanced, you only get one cable. If you don’t know what 4.4mm balanced is, just stick with the normal 3.5mm. The cable itself is also better than average. The base and splitter are metal chromed plastic, and the chin cord adjuster is metal. The cable strands are nice looking, thicker than average. The cable is nicely flexible and doesn’t have much memory to it.The IEMs themselves are also very nice looking in my opinion. Visually, you’re getting your $99 worth. The case is tinted clear resin and you can see the DD and BA drivers inside. The outer shell is reported stabilized wood, but I don’t know of any real blue swirly woods? Regardless, it does look nice even if fake. There some gold trim with the model number and L/R stamped onto them. The casings are on the small size making the set very lightweight overall. These shouldn’t have a problem fitting into most any normal sized ears and are very comfortable to wear.Moving onto sound quality, as previously stated these are good, not great. For being a tri-brid driver setup I expected a bit more to be honest. These a 10mm dynamic driver for lows, 4 balanced armatures for mids and a PZT (piezo) tweeter for highs. This is my first IEM with a PZT so I was curious how it’d compare to my other BA and planar IEMS. The treble is decent, good clarity, no distortion, no sibilance, not harsh. So these characteristics make the IEM overall non-fatiguing, but it’s lacking pizzaz. The mids are probably where these shine the most, very clear and good male/female vocal reproduction. The bass is where these are the most lackluster in my opinion considering it has 10mm dual dynamic drivers. The bass is simply there, but it has no bump, slam or thump even on bass heavy songs. This is likely due to the small housing, there’s just not much air to move around in there. I don’t have any measuring tools, but I’d characterize these as following the Harman IEM target sound curve with flat bass. Overall these have a flat/linear/neutral sound signature. At louder volumes, they sound best as the soundstage comes more forward. Stereo imaging is also very good, but not quite holographic.Overall, these are very competent IEMs that do nothing great nor bad. Considering the price, a good entry into the realm of Chi-Fi IEMs but there are certainly better options for equal price or only slightly more money. For $130 I’d strongly recommend the Hidizs MP145 over these for only $30 more as being better in everything way that matters. These being so lightweight, they’ll probably find their way into my day bag when I want something that sounds decent out and about that I don’t have to worry about losing or breaking being not too expensive.

Just O.K.
Accessories are well done. Plenty of tips. The main issue is fit. The nozzle is extremely short, amd when combined with the stock cable with TFZ connectors, it is next to impossible to get a proper seal. You will have to add the cost of a better fitting and compact cable to the entire package.Overall, sound signature is neutral bright. The bass and mids are pretty good, but there are some peaks in the treble (likely due to the piezoelectric drivers). Not a bad IEM, but there are many better options at this price point.

Comfortable and good sound quality
These are well made earphones with round tips. However, this is not made for the Iphone as itâs not the correct port. The earpiece fits snugly and the thickened wires give it a quality touch. I use it for listening to music and lecture recordings and the sound is rich and clear. A beautiful and well packaged earphone set. Great value for money and feels quite comfortable in my ears.
