We’ve listened to feedback from DJs and improved on our previous professional DJ headphones. With newly developed drivers, the HDJ-X7 model gives you clean monitoring even at high volumes. The independent ground wire in the 4-core twisted-structure cable ensures superior left and right channel separation, while the flexible headband means your headphones will be a perfect fit. The HDJ-X model headphones are designed to be flexible. Their swivel mechanism allows you to wear them comfortably, whichever way you prefer, for long periods of time. No need to worry about bumps and knocks during transport as these DJ headphones can handle severe conditions and heavy use. They even cleared the US Military Standard Shock test.

I hate change, but…
UPDATE: 9 months later… no problem issues. No cracks, ear pads havenât peeled. Speaker break-in has started to deliver more low end bass. Iâve got to admit, Iâm surprised! Still hangin the 5-stars on em!UPDATE: 3 months in. Used 6 days/week, 8 hrs/day, on & off my head – No cracks on housing, anywhere. No pleather peeling. Jack/cable internal solders all holding up.Just got the HDJ-X7’s today. I’m a radio DJ & have exclusively used the Pioneer HDJ-1500’s since they came out in 2012… The X7’s have a âdifferentâ emcee monitor sound vs. 1500’s. Theyâre clean in sound w/ a dramatically crisp audio punch, without any over-the-top forced low-end bass. Donât get me wrong, the low-end bass is PLENTY strong with their new configuration on these. Seems as the mids range (voice-over) are toned down a bit on these. They truly sit OVER the ear vs. 1500’s on-ear, which is likely what makes the bass hits naturally deeper. (Full over ear design could also be main reason mid-range hZ seem dialed back.) Still, these have a better overall sound quality than the 3 pairs of Beats studios, pair of AKG K702’s, Sony MDR7506’s & Sennheiser HD25’s that are occupying my bottom desk drawer, have – Hands down!Construction: Gave the 4-star for âmaterialâ seeing that I just in-boxed & used for the first time. So Iâm still cautiously-optimistic on the fence. â The HDJ-1500âs were a step up in construction/material to their HDJ-1000 predecessor. All in all: 5 sets of 1000âs in 4 years + 4 sets of 1500âs in 8 years… Seems as though construction has become better with each model release. Daily work-use can be tough. Time will tell & updates will be written!Parts: Having replaceable ear pads & cords are a HUGE plus! …specially âcuz nobody likes duct-taped headphones or peel-y black PU âdandruffâ gunk on your ears/face/clothes!

Pricy but Fantastic
These work great on the studio and dancefloor. They’re super neutral (don’t color the sound), which is great for mixing / mastering. The noise cancellation is also very effective — great for cueing tracks in a loud environment. I also have no concerns about their durability! The one gripe is that they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, but I suppose that’s necessary to keep them over my ears in a booth environment!

Not the best but very good
So I have used many DJ headphones in the last 15 years. For the money first off these are very good quality with very good sound quality. If you are an audio enthusiast these might leave you wanting a little more but if youâre looking for something that has good sound recreation and can get pretty loud for those situations you need to be able to hear whatâs going on in your headphones these are really nice. I have larger ears and find that mini headphones cause me discomfort after about 25 minutes these however have not given me any issues even up to a couple of hours. These headphones are slightly bass heavy but not overly done all in all the sound comes through pretty flat. I DJ mostly EDM and old-school hip-hop and these are definitely doing well for me.As I stated these are not your flagship top-of-the-line models and they could have a few improvements. All in all I would say these are a solid bargain for the money if youâre looking for something for at home use or something that can still be taken to the club or a party and they used with confidence.

The Sound is fantastic
I do a lot of music editing and I find that the sound is very accurate the mids, bass and high tones are spot on. I did a lot of research and after reading various articles on headphones, these are much, mush stronger build than regular headphones and you can still hear your stereo sound as it feels as if it is a surround sound headphone. I will be honest and say, however, these are not for the occasional audiophile as they might not enjoy these because sound only comes from 1 earcup as the left one is used for mixing audio tracks.

DJ Headphones
The sound quality is superb! Fit is nice and snug the way it should be for DJs, if you have a big head then yeah they will feel uncomfortable after a while ð. They look great and Pioneer did not disappoint with these. Now the only thing left to see is durability. Highly recommend.

I’ve had my share of disappointments with open box items. This one was everything described and then some! So happy! Paid 1/3 of the price for incredible headphones. Can’t wait to use them soon!

I am a V-Moda kind of guy and they died on me after 5 years! So decide to try on Pioneer! OMG! I did not expect the quality of sound to be that good! Wow. I recommend them to all DJs! Comfort very comfortable and I always liked my headphones to be tight! So no question with those. Sorry to say this but BYE BYE V-Moda and WELCOME TO THE FAMILY PIONEER HDJ-X7 ! I am impressed

I had the HRM before these, for some reason when I use these and have the cable near anything electric or my phone with signal and I can hear distorting and white noise
