Quality, affordable Power Supply
My first impression upon receiving the Aresgame AGV650 was that the packaging looked good. I’ve purchased a lot of computer parts and power supplies over the years, and I’ve had a lot of poorly packaged items arrive. Opening the shipping box and finding a nice, clean looking product box was a nice start. Opening it up, I found that the packaging inside was just as good. I should have taken more pictures! Everything was well organized, separate bags for all the smaller pieces, documentation, information on contacting the manufacturer, etc. Sidenote: I reached out to support with a question and received an extremely fast reply, so that’s a great sign with regards to the product as well.Perhaps my favorite little item was the included “Quick Inspection Tool”, and warning/suggestion that the purchaser use the tool before plugging the power supply into their computer. I have tested a lot of power supplies over the years, often by using a wire or the ‘paper clip method’ to jumper the positions together on the ATX plug. Having a handy little pre-made jumper tool to do the test is great. Perhaps these are common these days, but I didn’t have one, so it was immediately added to my tool box. Thank you Aresgame! The power supply itself looks good. Simple, well made, didn’t feel flimsy or cheap. I tested it before plugging it in, and everything looked great. I hooked it up, and it’s been working very well. No issues so far, and it’s quiet. I installed it in my gaming rig, and it’s done a great job handling everything so far.All in all, a great product at a reasonable price. If I have any issues down the road, I’ll revisit this review, but all signs point to this being a great purchase. I recommend everyone check out Aresgame products.

Great Gaming Power Supply at a Great Price
I have just finished installing the Aresgame AGV650 power supply unit. At this time it is working great: Extremely quite, providing great power for my gaming unit and GPU. I am extremely please with the purchase.I received the product Saturday. Product is listed as Amazon Prime but was offered a choice of 3 day delivery or 4 day delivery. I selected 3-day but was automatically assigned 4-day delivery with no explanation. Unexpected but given the current postal situation not too bad.The box container is well constructed. The PSU was wrapped with air wrap consisting of a series of cigar sized air pockets. This provided a very stiff, snug and sturdy protective enclosure for the PSU. The attached cables were bundled with zip ties. The AC cable was secured with the normal twist tie. Everything was very snug in the box preventing any movement. Needless to say I was very surprised and pleased with the packaging. The product, cables and accessories are accurately described in the Amazon Product Description. There was a test loop included. Basically connects two connections. You connect the test loop to the motherboard connector, connect the AC cable, turn the PSU on and if the fan spins, the PSU is considered operational. For someone not experienced with installing a PSU, installation may be a little daunting. The User Manual is thin and in small print. The installation instructions are sparse and are not very description nor helpful. No detailed steps or explanation of the cables. I was a little exasperated with the cables labeled PCI-E and CPU. I couldn’t get them to fit. Ultimately, I remembered the connectors on the end were not solid but split. Once I separated the cables, I was able to connect them to the proper slots.I like the fact that all of the cables except the motherboard cable are flat. It is much neater than the old red, yellow and black cables which have to be zip tied to keep them together.Over all I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

Great inexpensive for upgrading older systems
Edit 2-1-24: I gave this PC to a friend as I built a new PC from the ground up for me. He uses that PC everyday and this PSU is still going strong, no issues what 4 years later?Original review:I bought this to replace an aging PSU in a 2015 Dell XPS 8700. The size (Dimensions) was a Direct replacement for the old OEM 460 watt. This came with an 8 pin and another 8 pin (4+4) eps CPU connector. My Old Dell OEM MB uses a single 4 pin, so I was able to split the 8 pin and plug in the 4 to the MB. Then this has a modern PCIe 8 pin (6+2)(2 on same line) for video cards. so if you need a 6 pin, then just split off the 2 pin to make a 6. if you need the 8 the don’t do anything and plug it in. It also has plenty of sata connectors and even a few OLD 4 pin molex connectors for older connections. Though I did not nor will I use the 4 pin molex, but it is nice to know they are there if I need them. The cables are a solid black color. NO ketchup and mustard colors here! They are lengthy cables make it easy to reach different layouts. Though my MB is a Mini ATX so they are very long for me. This makes cable management difficult. But that is not the fault of the PSU but one of my oem case.As for the Fan I cannot hear it so it is very quiet. The PSU comes with a sperate switch so I do NOT have to rely on the case power button to make sure its off. This also allows me to leave it plugged in for a ground and still drain the system of power. then I can connect my anti static bracelet and not worry about static buildup while I am working on the PC. I VERY MUCH appreciated item on an inexpensive unit. The unit came with a tester which really is just to see if it turns on, thats really it. I didn’t expect it at all so it was nice to have it included in the box.As for longevity I cannot speak of because I have only had it installed for a week, but so far no issues. I will update if I have any.In conclusion, I was very worried about a brand that I have never heard of but So far I am loving it. A lot of nice touches for a lower end inexpensive psu. I am very happy with my purchase.P.S. A previous reviewer said that this will NOT work in older dell computers. I do not know which Dell he was trying to put it into or how old the system was, but for my 2015 8700 XPS, it fits and works perfectly.

I received the AGV650 on time. I was upgrading a computer to a 1660 super and only had a 400 watt power supply. This 650 watt power supply has no issues powering the GPU. Cables are braided for motherboard and look very nice in case. The rest of the cables are black and flat which are nice to cable manage. The PSU had the connections that I needed for new systems along with the old style molex connectors. The power supply is quiet and worked right out of the box using the included tester. Very happy with product price compared to other products. Will buy from seller again for other systems.

I like that that cables were long enough to reach all items in the case. In my situation, the PSU sits at the bottom of the case and the CPU power cable plugs in at the top of the case in the corner. I was doubtful if the cable would reach. I like that it came with the tester. I like that it is light weight. It was easy to install and passed all my benchmark test with the GPU. My previous PSU did not pass the tests and that’s why I ended up looking for a new PSU. I believe this is a relatively new product on the market, so only time will tell. I read somewhere that there is a 90 day warranty, which is a disappointment but I’m going to bank on this PSU not breaking down anytime soon. Very quiet and I like the price too.

Works well, hard to beat the price. Fan noise is acceptable. Packaging was good and it comes with a tester. It’s not as efficient as advertised but that’s to be expected for a budget PSU. Been running fine for 8 months now.

A very good power supply for the price. Performs as needed and as a bonus looks good in my build. Tuf b560m plus wifi, 2×8 lpx 3600, titan x, 860 evo 500gb for os, hgst 1 tb for games, 11900 es after market and a bunch of be quiet fans and cooler to top the look off with more cooling than ill need.Only con. I didn’t get the modular form factor to save 20$ that I should have.
