Good, yes, good value for money, not sure.
Amazon Vime Product, FYI.So, I’ve used multiple gaming mice over the years, and the Basilisk V3 35k is a fine example of the features I’ve come to expect. More ergonomic, wider array of buttons that are easy to use for faster-paced gaming, good DPI control. The color LED and schema are about average for the price point (Amazon suggested this is worth $69.99) and I’ll come back to that. A couple features different/standout from my prior models.1. The fabric covered power cable. Now, this claims to reduce cable friction for high-twitch gaming. I suspect they’re right, the older, rubberized cables did tend to have a touch of snag if something happened and you needed more cable pulled, although with a high precision mouse, it’s less of an issue than days gone by.2. Mouse scroll wheel levels. I do like this feature – you can control the level of feedback on the scroll, from traditional where you feel each “click” as it were, to nearly free spinning. Which is great in that I don’t have to pick one OR the other as some models mention. Two minor issues/concerns that may affect your choice. One, yes, you have to go to download Razer’s software to control the RGB. Yeah, it’s not surprising, but unlike the documentation, it isn’t plug and play, I had to go dig up the website, search, and download manually. Not a problem, but not a smooth process either.Second, is price to value. This is NOT an inexpensive product at the $79.99 US price point it’s listed at. You could probably get 80% of the features at roughly half this price, although not all of them. And I can’t evaluate it’s “learning potential” per the specs, where it detects and matches performance to the surface, although if I exceed the area of my mousepad, it seems better than my prior model at evaluating the pickup and replacement on the pad.But it’s still a good product, and especially if Amazon is giving a sale on it, might be a good fit for you if you want something very responsive, with a few extra buttons than the norm. And if you’re pushing hard at your PC gaming, then that 20% you’re NOT able to get out of the budget friendly examples I mentioned before may make the difference you need.

Hyperscroll works wonders in documents, I’m a terrible gamer
I am not a serious gamer. I write more than I do anything else with a mouse and keyboard. Technically, I stream (e.g. Netflix) more than anything else, but being a potato does not require me to interact with my peripherals, so I donât think thatâs relevant now.My favorite think about Razer is Chroma Studio. I canât really tell you much about any macro functionality. I type too fast and I am not a good enough gamer to feel the need for a macro. I can count the games I own on Steam on one hand (Skyrim [SE+VR, but I consider that one game], Cyrperpunk77, and Soul Calibur VI, Tabletop Simulator and Dominion) and only 3 of them really even push the computer or the use of the peripheral. What I like about Razer Chroma is itâs ability to allow me to layer effects â especially within an integrated ecosystem of RBG lighting etc.The Razer V3 Basilisk fits seamlessly into that ecosystem. It is a rather large mouse, but with a 6â2â frame and a palm size to match, I find it rather comfortable. I did have a discussion with a coworker about the Basilisk as he was the one to point me onto Razer in the first place and he doesnât like the Basilisk because he finds it too big. He finds it too big because he does not place his hand in line with 12 and 6 oâclock on the mouse body, but rather puts the palm of his hand on his desk at about 4 oâclock. I didnât actually check, but he is the same height as I am, so I assume his hands are about the same size. As compared to some of the other mice available from Razer, the Basilisk has the most addressable RGBs on its body. I think the Viper just has the razer logo as an LED and thatâs about it.As someone who uses his peripherals to write more than anything else, however, Hyperscroll⢠is invaluable. I press a button on the mouse to enable Hyperscoll functionality, flick the wheel, and zoom through the document with ease. I work as an electrical engineering technician, and 1/3rd of my job is technical writing, so I actually bought one of these for my desk at work â thatâs how much I value the Hypersroll alone. It probably warrants mentioning that the one I bought for work was a refurbished unit. 25K DPI instead of this unitâs 35K DPI, but thatâs not something I would notice the difference of. But, the refurbished one likes to disappear from windows. I would assume the innards of this mouse are similar to that. While the cable is attached, inside it actual mates to a small PCB with a mini 5-pin Molex connector. I know this, because for the refurbished on, I had to open the mouse, unplug the connector for the USB cable and plug it back in, and the mouse would magically show back up in Windows device manager. So, Iâll let the other reviewers tell you how well this mouse fairs in quick reaction gaming, but as a general peripheral, it integrates well with Razer Chroma, but be nice to that chord.

Good mouse for people with big hands. Very Comfortable. Also much cheaper than the wireless version. My only complaint is the positioning of the extra buttons on the side. Only one of the buttons is placed where you can easily click it, the other two are a bIt of a stretch and don’t feel very natural to use. But i bought for the price and actual mouse quality the extra buttons arent a deal breaker for me.
