Great gaming headset!
Love this headset for gaming with a Nintendo switch. Good positive connection and excellent sound. Very comfortable with my glasses and hearing aids. The retractable microphone with an easy access mute (off) button is a plus.

Perfect!
I took into consideration how much I loved my Razer Kraken kitty headset before purchasing this one. I have to say, itâs pretty good. Sound quality is great and its comfortable for long periods of time. I donât have a complaint!

Great sound, very good mic, comfortable.
I like the razer headsets. This is number 3 for me (for multiple computers,)They all have very good sound and great mic pickups. Comfortable over the ear.My only issue with this one is lack of support for THX sound.

Great Headset!
I love razer products, and this one is awesome! I love the customization of the lights! I ordered a razer mouse too, and plan to get a razer keyboard and controller as well!

Good headset, no registration card
Headset does what it says, good audio band the mic is good, but it didnât come with a card for the 7.1 surround audioâ¦..seems the âworkersâ in China missed that partâ¦..so I get an annoying pop up every time I log onto my system Asking for it. And Iâm over it with AI systems that they use for customer support.

So good I ditched the stand alone mic and headphones
I have to admit every razer product I try, I end up liking more than I thought I would. This headset is no different.Let me preface this review by saying I have used a Blue Yeti, and some Phillips SHP-9500 headphones for a while now. This is great, and will outperform this headset, but the price, and sacrifices will make you want to switch to an all in one headset. Having to keep a mic on your desk, or an arm gets annoying.I’m not normally a fan of closed back headphones as I seem to get hot wearing them. These even in summer, have not given me any issues. I also know that most closed back headphones are known to have tons of bass. Also not the case with these. Now they are fine, but they’re not going to blow you away with bass. The microphone may not have quite the same quality as my Blue Yeti, but not having to speak directly into a large microphone, and being able to move my head around while talking is nice (When I’m not gaming). The ability to push the mic back into thee recessed piece is nice, and easy. The cable they use on this thing is almost unlike any I’ve ever seen. It’s very tough, but not difficult to bend. It just seems like you could run over this thing with a desk chair dozens of times with no issues. The cable terminates with a usb c, but also includes an adapter to go to normal usb a.Razer Synapse has options for RGB, Mic monitoring (Hear yourself), and 7.1 surround. I have not tried surround sound as this feature as you have to download and register your product for some reason. The spatial audio seems just fine out of the box though.Overall I didn’t think I’d ever switch away from nice headphones and a mic, but here I am. Can’t recommend this headset enough if you want a really nice well rounded gaming headset!

Inaccxuate selling points
Product page claims it has 7.1 surround sound. This device is not eligible. Additionally, the crazy downloads with multiple apps is ridiculous. But one of the worse things is the serial number so tiny hidden in a spot that makes it extremely difficult to read

Awesome headset, and an improvement over previous Krakens.
This arrived well packaged in a nice descriptive Razer box. Inside was the headset itself, a USB C to USB A adapter, a small manual, and nice Razer stickers. The headset was inside a soft Razer drawstring carry bag and I thought that was a nice touch. The headset is very well made. It is mostly all plastic but it feels very durable and I am sure will last a long time. I love the cloth material Razer used on the ear pads and head band. I think it is the best material to use in those places. Wearing the headset was very comfortable and it is fine for people with smaller heads, but also my larger head too! There is only one minor con with build construction, and that is the USB power cable. It has sort of vertical groves in it that run the length of the cable. It seems quite sturdy so I don’t think it will ever have problems, I just wish it was softer and more flexible, and perhaps braided. The volume and mute controls are on the headset itself, so there is no dongle on the USB cable. They worked well and I found them easy to use.Where this headset shines, is in the sound. It was perfect out of the box, no software required. I just plugged it into a USB slot on my Windows 11 computer, and Windows saw it instantly. I used this for gaming and music, and it was great for both. The bass sounded great and the overall sound was very clear, where I could easily hear the variety of sounds that I was listening too, in either games or music. I was surprised it sounded so good, because it is a huge difference from a much earlier Kraken I had.The retractable mic is nice and easy to use. I tried it in Discord and the person I was talking to said I was loud and clear. The mic cable is fairly thick so I think it will last a long time without issue. The rgb looks nice and it basically just fades through different colors, although it may do more if you install Razer Synapse software. This software would be the best to get the most functionality out of the headset, but it is absolutely not necessary. It sounded great as it is without any software, and you could also use other audio software like Equalizer APO without issue.I really have no cons other than the slightly stiff USB cable. It is a wonderful gaming/music headset that is plug and play. The sound quality is excellent to my ears right out of the box. I think the price is great for something of this quality. I am very happy with this headset and happy to have it in my gaming arsenal!

Good quality, don’t know much about sound quality i just game and meetings. Love the retractable mic, people can hear me well but can’t hear loud people around me, so perfect! Cable is a little stiff though, i got used to it, maybe with time it’ll be smoother!

These head phones are great, they sound great, work great, but there is this insanely annoying buzzing / electrical interference sound when no sound is going through them. Tried my old razer headphones and they donât do this.. not sure why these are making this sound but it makes me not even want to wear them. Not sure what Razer can do about this.

I had high hopes since 5 years ago I purchased a Razor headset and was thoroughly impressed with the audio quality and comfortability of the headset while using them for hours daily. Unfortunately they stopped working the other day so I purchased these to replace them and I am very disappointed. I don’t know if Razor’s quality went down a lot but the audio isn’t crisp and sounds fuzzy even with surround sound on or off.
