Solid wireless keyboard with number pad
I have several different wireless keyboards, but none of them have a number pad. When I saw this keyboard had a number pad, I had to pick it up. Perhaps I am old school, but I actually use the number pad quite often and I have really missed having one on my other keyboards.The RisoPhy adds a number pad without really negatively affecting the size of this keyboard. It is still pretty compact and doesn’t take up much real estate on your desk. The keyboard uses user replaceable switches for each key. It even includes two replacement switches. While I have never experienced a switch failure on a keyboard, perhaps if you are a gamer and repeatedly use the same keys, you might prematurely wear out your keyboard switches.The keyboard allows you to use it in a wired or wireless mode. The wireless function uses either Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz connection. The 2.4Ghz dongle is conveniently located on the right side of the keyboard. I have been using the keyboard with a wireless Bluetooth connection. I have not noticed any lag or any issues connecting to my computer.Located on the left side of the keyboard are controls that allow you to choose between Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz operation. There is also a selection switch for Windows or Mac users. There is also a USB-C port for charging or for wired operation. My initial charging took only about 20 minutes. The battery has a pretty long life as I have been using the keyboard for several weeks and have yet to recharge it. This is with RGB lighting effected turned on as well.Since I mentioned RGB lighting, I might as well comment on the aesthetics of this keyboard. The main color scheme is blue, white and pink. There is a large anime print on the back of the keyboard with smaller anime prints on the spacebar and a couple of the other keys on the keyboard. Of course, as mentioned, there are RGB lights under the keyboard and you can select from a large number of lighting schemes. The design is oriented towards gamers.Located between the main keyboard and the number pad, there is a set of led indicators that show the status of the number lock, caps lock, connection status and battery status. Above the number pad, there is also a media volume knob. This is a nice feature that allows you to quickly and easily adjust your volume.The keyboard has a nice feel to it when you are typing. The switches themselves are silent, but the keyboard does give you a nice clicking sound when a key hits the bottom of the stroke. I like this as it gives you an audible confirmation of the keystroke. I am a touch typist, and I find that this keyboard is quite comfortable and responsive when typing.Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this RisoPhy wireless keyboard, and it has replaced my other keyboards as my daily driver. If you are looking for a great performing wireless keyboard that is functional and stylish at the same time, you can’t go wrong with the RisoPhy.

A Solid Budget Board in an Oversaturated Market
Opening up this keyboard, the first thing I noticed was the surprising build quality. The gasket-mounted design gives a bit of flex that I typically associate with more premium keyboards. The double-shot PBT keycaps feel great under my fingers, and I’m confident they’ll stand up to long-term use without developing that dreaded shine.Under the keycaps, the Gateron G Pro 2.0 Yellow switches offer a smooth, linear typing experience that I’ve found enjoyable for both work and gaming. But the real game-changer for me is the hot-swappable PCB. As someone who likes to experiment with different switch types, the ability to easily swap them out without soldering is a huge plus.The RGB lighting adds a nice touch to my setup, with plenty of customization options. While the software isn’t the most advanced I’ve seen, it gets the job done for basic remapping and macro creation.Battery life has been solid in my experience. I’ve been getting around 40 hours with the RGB on, which means I’m not constantly reaching for the charging cable. The 3000mAh battery is a nice touch that sets this keyboard apart from some competitors.It’s not all perfect, though. I’ve experienced a few hiccups with the 2.4GHz dongle connection, though they’ve been infrequent. Also, the elephant in the room is that there is an anime girl plastered over the back of the case. Thankfully its nothing lewd or overtly sexual, but its still enough that you might be embarrassed to pull it out on the first day at a new job.All in all, I’ve found the RisoPhy 98-key wireless mechanical keyboard to be an impressive package for its price. It’s not without its flaws, but the features and build quality punch well above its weight class. Whether you’re new to mechanical keyboards or looking for a versatile secondary board, this RisoPhy offering is definitely worth considering.
