Great phone
Upgraded to this phone from my S20+ after it broke. I purchased from wirelessdistrict and the phone was in ‘good condition’, which is fair and i expected more blemishes then i found. I love the pen and versatility. The phone charges quickly, lasts my 12 hour long shift at work starting at 90-100% with 30-45% left unless I use it hard or less then usual (I will usually color, read my kindle, or watch some videos, sometimes Netflix shows), the screen has zero scratches and seems vibrant, there were small nicks around the frame and by the camera but it effects nothing at all, i havent really tested the camera much but it seems great. I tested by watching a full hour of streaming an Amazon movie and the battery dropped by 13%. The phone came with a privacy screen protector which was nice, it’s still on and the fingerprint sensor works great. Multitasking can be done seamlessly, and all my college apps and needs are flawlessly performed.

Exactly as described
The phone I received is just like new. It is a twin to the one I already have that needs repair. No damage or scratches, front or back. Battery life seems fine and performance is great. I neede great cameras and above all, a slot for a sd card. This model is the best performing that allows a 1. 5 Tb of storage and great display. Transferring data didn’t take too long, and now I have a clone of my original phone, at a decent price.

Phone was not as described or advertised, total disappointment.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this Amazon seller. The phone was not unlocked as the seller claimed in the description. Also the phone was not a refurbished phone.Upon booting the phone it was not fully charged, where it already had an account on the phone. The seller claimed the phone was unlocked, however, the phone booted with t-mobile software and was not factory reset. This prompted me to reach out to Samsung to confirm if the phone was unlocked or not where I was told by the rep after providing the IMEI information that the phone is locked to T-mobile carrier.I next contacted t-mobile and the rep stated that the phone is not eligible to be unlocked, which rendered the phone unusable. This ordeal has been a huge inconvenience due to the fact I spent money on the phone with guarantee it would be unlocked and working. The seller had responsibility to ensure the phone was wiped of all previous user data, as well as ensuring the phone was not restricted to any carrier. If so, I would not be writing my review to warn others.I should not have had to go through so many hoops to confirm the validity of the phone when the phone should have been in the ‘unlocked condition’ as described on Amazon.I am recommending that AMAZON put in place a system that requires the SELLER to verify that the phone is unlocked by loading IMEI info before we as the CUSTOMER complete the purchase to prevent this from reoccurring.I have reached out to the seller to resolve this issue and have sent the phone back to receive a full refund. This experience has made me question Amazon’s standards in regards to electronics where I do not have confidence or faith in purchasing any phone that is claimed to be unlocked from its Amazon sellers. Not until Amazon can guarantee that sellers will be true to their listings. In addition, the seller should be more mindful and considerate of the phones they are selling to people as we are spending real money and trusting that they will send us a phone that works and is truly unlocked with no restrictions as described. Please be aware of the risks you are taking when purchasing a “refurbished” or “renewed” phone from Amazon as you may not recieve the item as it is described on Amazon.

DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL WITHOUT INSURANCE…SAMSUNG DEFECT…READ
UPDATED: I owned the phone for FOUR MONTHS and the screen randomly went black. Tried to troubleshoot with YouTube videos. Tried every hack. Nothing worked. Filed a claim with Asurion. Thankful I bought insurance, although there was a whole separate nightmare with Asurion. Be sure to read my review under Asurion of how deceptive and terrible this insurance company is. Bottom line, I took the phone to a repair shop and learned the “random black screen” is a known issue and common in the Note 20 Ultra 5G. Samsung never issued a recall or addressed it, but nearly every Note 20 Ultra 5G eventually experiences a black screen, and THE ONLY FIX is to get a NEW SCREEN INSTALLED. A new screen runs $299.99 US. Asurion wanted me to pay the $299.99 and that’s after I bought a policy for $149.99 and paid a “fee” of $99 + tax, total $109.19 to file a claim. When you buy an insurance policy, you have to pay a $99 fee every time you file a claim. So I was looking at $638 for the phone (excl. tax) + $150 for insurance + $110 to file a claim + $300 for a new screen ALL INSIDE FOUR MONTHS. Do the math, then decide if you should even buy the phone. I was livid when I learned all this. Asurion should be investigated by the FTC for unfair and deceptive business practices. In the end, Asurion paid for the repair, refunded my $109.19 so my investment was still just the cost of the phone and the insurance policy. IF YOU BUY THIS PHONE, BUY THE INSURANCE. Otherwise, be prepared to pay $300 bucks for a new screen when it dies on you.ORIGINAL 4-Star Review: Phone looks NEW! Fingerprint reader is inferior to Note 8…my last Samsung Note.Phone looks new. Delivery time was longer than normal. I like the features so far. The fingerprint reader is not so great. Seems slow reading, probably because the technology uses the screen and not a lens like on the Note 8. Older fingerprint readers, like on my Note 8 are faster, although rear placement, it’s much faster using the camera lens or whatever the technology is that scans my fingerprint. Bottomline, it’s twice as fast. The fingerprint reader on this Note 20 Ultra, which scans from the middle of the lower third of the screen, is slow and feels cumbersome. I’m constantly having to rescan or place my thumb over the fingerprint icon longer. Entering my PIN is faster. I may disable the fingerprint reader. I have to keep my thumb on the screen for 1-2 seconds to get it to unlock. Still new to using the phone. I got this phone as a memory upgrade to my Note 8 and so far I like that I have 512 GB internal and 512 GB microSD so I’m sporting 1 TB combined. Although it may have numerous features I haven’t discovered yet, it feels very similar and familiar to my Note 8, which I like. Only one week with this new phone so we’ll see how it goes. I may update my review.
