Fantastic learning game
I purchased this for my 5 year old at the recommendation of a friend. I will start with that i was sent a game that looks slightly different from the photos amazon has on here. I feel I received a slightly updated game, which is fine by me. I included a photo of the front and back of the game I was sent.We have played this multiple times over the past few weeks. It is a really fun game even for adults to compete at while playing with your young child.If your child is not familiar with letters/sounds.. it may be difficult at first. If they are familiar with some, it will be easier and help improve the letters/sounds they need to work on.Some of the graphics can be confusing without checking the instruction book, for example, one could be a princess or a queen. However, you could simply let the child get it right either way as long as it makes sense on why they chose that photo. There are a few different ways that you could adjust the way you play the game to meet the needs of your child until they are ready to play the correct way.I would recommend this game and I have it saved for later in my cart, so I can purchase it as a gift for similar aged children when I need a gift idea. It would be a great birthday gift for a prek to 1st grade child.

I purchased to work on alphabet recognition and sounds. My 6 year old can be reluctant to participate in traditional style learning, but she loves this game and asks to get it out to play regularly. It is very easy to play. Looks fun with all the colors.

Great game for 4-6 year olds. As a retired kindergarten teacher I know how important knowing their letters and sounds is to learning to read. Fun game. Easy set up and directions.

Challenging game for little ones
This game involves a lot of strategy, which is really hard for my LO. She knows her letters and the sounds. Each person gets 5 letter cards and each letter has 2 images, so trying to keep 10 images in mind at once is difficult!! Then after each turn you get a new card, so that is two new images to try and remember each turn. In addition, the images are not necessarily typical for the letter. For example, âCâ is for candle and cereal. Then add to the mix you must pick the right images to make 4 in a row. All of these things in combination makes the game more suitable for a older child. She loves games, but we have not been able to finish this game once yet because she looses interest. I am going to try playing the game with only 3 cards and see if she enjoys it more.

We love the adult version of this game, so we had to try the kids’ version too. My 5-year-olds are learning to read, and this game has been a great way to introduce sounds and letters in a fun way. Even when they outgrow it as a learning tool, itâs still a fun, screen-free game for quality one-on-one time.

Fun, easy to play, AMAZING for those with visual delays
My son has had some visual developmental delays which has effected the way he learns. He has had great difficulty with visual tracking and also with the information that he is seeing being sent to his brain in a timely fashion (working memory.) With that being said, coupled with vision therapy we were looking for fun ways at home to help improve his visual delays and get him caught up on his letters. This game is absolutely perfect for both. There is a lot of back and forth eye movement which is required to play, strategic planning which is great for his working memory, and of course the letter recognition. My son is now 6 years old, we purchased this when he was still 5. I wish we would have purchased this game earlier as it would be great for younger children. We were given the animal sequence game when he was 2 and it hasn’t been such a big hit as this version. My son absolutely loves it.Highly recommend for children who are working on letter/sound recognition and absolutely insist upon this game for those with visual delays around the kindergarten age.

I really like this game
My children have gotten an interest in playing family games. I love playing board games, so I went on a hunt for ones that would work well for the whole family. I have an almost 4 year old and an almost 6 year old. My daughter clearly has all of her sounds down, but we wanted to make sure it was something that would work for our younger one too. You can play with 2 to 4 players. 1 to 3 players you are on your own individual team. If you play with 4 players you are on teams of 2. You try to get 4 chips in a row on the board to win. Depending on how many people you have playing you will get dealt 4 or 5 cards. The cards have a letter of the alphabet on them and are color coded to help little ones locate a potential play space on the board. X cards allow you to remove a chip and a Z card is wild, meaning you can place it anywhere.I only have one complaint. There are a couple of cards that could be played in multiple spaces. For example there is an airplane on the board, but you might also call it a jet. Both the A card and the J card are the SAME color. The same goes for the Kangaroo, it looks almost like a Wallaby. They need to adjust the colors of the cards for these. It’s not a problem once you get use to the game. Each letter of the alphabet has TWO places you can play on the board.Overall, it’s a fun game. I would recommend it to friends,
