They sound good and stay on
Are they as good as earbuds… that depends. Overall, the sound is very good… not as good as in-the-ear buds, but at lower volumes and around the house, for most types of music they are great… a little muffled at times, but very good. Mowing the lawn… also pretty good. Balancing sound coming in from the environment vs the music takes a little doing and you end up blocking out a lot of the environment, but not as much as with traditional buds. Speech isn’t quite as good but it can be enhanced a tiny bit with an app setting. It’s good enough for phone calls and podcasts. The big difference is that these things stay PUT no matter what you’re doing – they don’t slip out, they aren’t affected by sweat, jarring… nothing and that is why I bought them. I got so sick of constantly trying to cram buds back in my sweaty ears as they slowly (or quickly) slide out. These things just stay on. BTW, the sizing is dead on – super glad I went for the smaller size, because the loop behind my head doesn’t get hit or pushed around. They are also comfortable – I’ve worn them for hours at a time – and the battery life is better than my Samsung buds. At higher volumes, they vibrate your skin in a tickly/buzzy way, but given what they are, that’s expected. I haven’t felt the need to turn them up THAT high anyway as the volume is sufficient for things like mowing the lawn and vacuuming where I’m intentionally trying to drown out the machine. Zero regret purchase. Oh, and I saw some complaints on the charging system in other reviews, but I LIKE their proprietary, magnetic system. I just super don’t care if I have to carry another cord… I’m already carrying, like, three of them anyway for my watch, phone, and whatever, so what’s one more?

    These are awesome!
I cycle and run. Sometimes on longer rides I would like a little, something. Music, talk, a distraction.Pros- battery life is great. I have used these out on jobs while I work. Have run them all day long, 8-10 hours on a lower volume setting and they worked all day. They fit great and are very easy to use once you remember the buttons so you can reach up and adjust them.I have used them while walking through a store and chatting on the phone. Have not had any complaints about people not being able to hear me.Out on bike rides they are good. From zero mph to around 20mph you can hear them. This also depends on the wind, meaning not the wind from you riding but Mother Nature. Above 20mph they get difficult to hear. If you’re listening to a playlist you know then you can pick out parts and know what you’re listening to. I tried listening to a podcast and above 20mph I had no idea what they were talking about.Running, they stay in place, don’t bounce around. They come with a headband but I have never used it. There are no issues with hearing anything while running.I also like these because it doesn’t block you ear canal and I can clearly hear my bike computer yelling at me when my bike radar detects a car coming from behind. I can hear the car approaching as well. You can have a conversation with people while using them but I tend to block out their voice and concentrate on the music. I do have to turn the volume down so I don’t get distracted from the conversation.Value for the money, well, they are pricey but compared to say, iPods or similar good quality ear pieces I think these are on par with other brands. I cannot speak on durability as I intentionally do not abuse them, throw, drop, kick, sling them in any way. For what I do they have held up well.If you ride, run or walk I would recommend looking into the these.

    These headphones changed my life
I can’t speak highly enough of shockz openrun pro (couldn’t say about their other ones, I’ve only had the openrun pros). The open ear bone conduction design is incredible for use during exercise, everyday life, and, especially, work. It’s changed the way I work in helping me drown out unnecessary background noise while still being able to interact with and clearly hear people around me. I’ve never gotten actually -excited- about headphones before, and rarely listened to music because the feel or weight of most of them bothered me so much, but these completely changed that for me. I’ve enjoyed so much new music in the past year and it’s all thanks to these cool little things.I have adhd and mild autism and struggle with overstimulation from noises I can’t control, or sometimes even lack of noise, and I work in a customer facing industry, the combination of which has been incredibly overwhelming for me at times. These have allowed me to block out the anxiety of outside noises by playing low volume lofi beats or ambient noise while working while still being able to hear clearly enough to interact with and monitor people constantly for 10+hour shifts, and I work better than I ever have with them. They’re comfortable and lightweight. I did have an issue with my first pair on the power/volume button slipping out of place, but am filing a warranty claim for that and hoping to get refunded or replaced. The sound quality is clear, the Bluetooth reaches far, and the mic is surprisingly good, I hate using anything else for phone calls now. I do prefer the minis- I’m a small-ish woman (5’4″) and I found the original size was a little big for my head and fit awkwardly around my hair.Controls are simple and actual buttons, not touch, which I prefer, and clarity is pretty good. They’ll never be as good sound quality as over the ear headphones or in-ear buds, but they’re the only open ear headphones I’ve tried even remotely worth using. I do wish there was a way to skip songs from the headphones, but ce la vi. Other people really can’t hear the music playing on them unless you have the volume very high. The sound quality does go down a bit at higher volumes, but that kind of was expected for headphones that work on vibrations, for me at least, and adjusting the positioning of them on yoir ears/head can help fix that also.Overall, 10/10 would recommend. These things are amazing and will change your life for the better. Worth the buy.
