It helped pioneered the Idea of big tower cooling performance in small packages. Five years later, improved technology and design has Enabled Silverstone engineers to create another pioneering small tower case in the TJ08 evolution (TJ08-E). to improve cooling performance, A class leading “Air penetrator” 180mm fan was installed behind the front panel to create Virtual airflow tunnel with positive air pressure, which also improves quietness and dust prevention. I love this case
Very well built, solid, professional looking case. You’ll need to be able to use a screw driver and follow simple instructions though. Because of the smaller size of this case, things are a little cramped but everything will fit. Unlike a lot of cases, this one provides for 2 external 5.25 drives (DVD or whatever) and an external 3.5 (just in case you want to run a 3.5 floppy I guess). Because of the smaller size, I’d recommend a modular PS to help with cable management. If you’re using the top 5.25 bays make sure to follow the recommendations on PS sizing. I used an EVGA Super Nova 650 G5 and it left plenty of room in the back for my DVD R/W drive. If you don’t mind spending a little time on your build and you value quality over bling, this case would be the perfect choice.

Nice looking case but not well made
Everything about the case is great except one really big problem. The studs for attaching the motherboard are weak. One popped out while I was attaching my motherboard. I glued it back in place with JB Weld which worked well but for the price they could make something more secure. Overall I do like the case and after my repairs it’s looking good. If Silverstone will fix the stud issue then I’d call this the best case on the market and super classy.

Very impressed with this case
I’ve worked in many cases over the years, but I think this one and the Fractal Design Core 500 were the only ones to impress me.Cable management is a breeze with the built-in loops, the PSU compartment is clever, the drive cage has a built-in handle / screw catcher, and the included 180x32mm fan pushes a lot of air. Usually I replace included fans first-thing but I kept this one.One thing to keep in mind: if you have a dual-fan, single-tower CPU cooler like me, there’s a chance you might have to remove that front fan if you plan on using the hard drive bay.

Something I wish I saw more of.
It’s 2020. Amazon says this launched in 2011. The case market is nothing but glass and lighting and lacks any creativity and quality across the board. Looking for cases with real features and expansion PLUS built well is becoming rare. I’m glad I could get my hands on this one now before they all sell out. The 180mm fan is very quiet and shoves air really well. Keeps my vega 64 and 3900x cool and I look forward to putting either the 3080/”big navi” in this. I highly recommend this and do not doubt the similar versions of the case from this time period will be just as well built.

Amazing little case! SilverStone TJ08-E
I’ve now built 8 systems with this case (SilverStone TJ08-E). It is simply amazing and overall my favorite M-ATX case. You do need a short power supply (160mm recommended), other than that there is nothing unusual for a Micro-ATX Case. Has nice features such as, removable motherboard tray and top panel, motherboard back plate opening behind CPU area, for quick cooler assembly.Great airflow (includes 180mm front fan), very quiet, it also accommodates most popular CPU air coolers (no taller than 165mm), my favorite is the Noctua NH-U12S. With that cooler, I recommend you add another 120mm fan to the rear Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM, venting hot air. For my next build may use a NH-U12A, these newer CPUs (2023) get hotter and hotter. This case can be a little harder to find at times (it comes and goes available and ships and sold from Amazon.com), but it is worth tracking down. I might actually buy an extra one! I hope they keep making this little case.Review updates in late 2023.
