    The best affordable keyboard
I’ve tried so many inexpensive keyboards. My problem is that they always get good reviews and they look great online through the pictures, but then they end up being cheap plastic in person. This keyboard is amazing. I was looking for a keyboard that is good with the hotkey commands like CTRL + C, and CTRL + V. I copy paste very fast and I need the keyboard to register my commands quickly without mistakes. This keyboard does all of that. The raised keys have a nice feeling and the keys are very quiet, which works for me. The keys feel a little bit tactile but with a membrane feel, because of membrane. The spacing between the keys make it easy to type without looking down so much and the RBG is adjustable. You can switch off the RGB lights, change the light pattern/breathing, and/or pick your favorite light color. The wrist rest is metal. The keyboard housing is metal. The keys are not metal. This is a nice, inexpensive keyboard that works well.

    Great keyboard for the price
I love this keyboard. It has many settings on the RGB. It does turn off after a long time of not using the keyboard. Otherwise it’s worth the discount over other RGB. The keyboard is also solid metal which is a plus.

    Solid Keyboard
I just got it and it is everything I wanted. The build quality exceeded my expectation for the price and it is a solid keyboard. I do mean solid. I love the feel of the keys and the raised look is nice. I am not a gamer, so I cannot comment on any features gamers or other advanced users may like, but for a normal keyboard it is pretty great for the price. Overall I would recommend this keyboard and would buy again.

    Good buy
I am glad that I bought this item. I like the metal base, the lovely colors, and the nice keyboard. It’s tough and sturdy. I would buy this again, no problem! Stand-up keyboard! Solid as a rock. Won’t flip!

    Pretty solid
I had tried a couple of different keyboards, and im pretty happy with this one. it has a really good weight to it which is nice. Its hard to find a decent keyboard these days. The keys are soft but respond well. The color function is pretty nice. Hold FN and then use insert home page up delete etc. to change the functions. It does feel like the keys are a little bit smaller then normal, but I imagine once you get used to it they’ll be just fine. All in all, pretty good keyboard for the money. Not too shabby.

Paint on keys rubs off. NOT FOR GAMING
I’ve had this keyboard for a little over a month and the A and W keys are beginning to rub off. If you are an avid gamer like me this is a big deal. Otherwise, the keyboard is sturdy and has cool lighting but I will have to buy a new one soon.

Great keyboard but power save feature ruins it
Honestly a seemingly great product ruined by the backlight going out every 5 minutes and requiring a two key press to reactivate. You will find yourself doing exactly what you bought a backlit keyboard to avoid, looking for keys in the dark. But on the bright side, you’ll probably save 5 cents over the life of the product. Back to square one.

I have bought from TechNet in the past, they seem to know what they’re doing and do so at a low price, which is why I chose this keyboard over a slightly less expensive alternative. It sounds amazing. That’s pretty much the only reason you’d buy a mechanical keyboard isn’t it? The feel is good, it is easily much much better than a rubber dome keyboard. I can game with it happily, though I hasten to add if you are buying it to game, your friends are going to either love or hate you, because it is very noisy and to some thats a nice thing, to some its not so nice. Its back lights are… functional. I wouldn’t say they are pretty, if I’m entirely honest they look rather ugly, but they can be disabled. They are useful for night time typing though, which personally I do a lot, and even if they are ugly, when you do a lot of typing, you will find you only need to look at it to orient yourself, then you don’t have to look again.Lights aside, the design is very nice, the brushed metal under the key caps is very pleasing to the eye, however, it does look small, and the reason for that brings me into my next point…There is (as you can probably tell) no number pad. This isn’t too much of a problem, but I have found in a lot of games I’ve had to rebind my shortcuts to ‘pgup’ and ‘pgdn’ to make up for it. Also, inputting numbers is much easier with a number pad in my opinion, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t say that it not being there makes this purchase worthless, it just mildly irritates me whenever I need to put numbers in.Its macro keys (the ones that launch things like the calculator or turn the volume up) are convenient, though I do not use them very often. All in all, a decent keyboard that is well built. I would recommend it for someone on a budget that wants a premium feeling keyboard.

This was a decent and inexpensive little keyboard. If, like me, you’re not actually in it for the RGB you may find visibility a bit poor with the lights off, but otherwise a very neat and comfortable board.Mechanical action felt solid and substantial, key-sound was satisfyingly clicky (though this might be a turn off for some people).Sadly, my board ceased functioning without warning about a year in.Contacted Tecknet regarding 3-year warranty and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They offered and processed a full refund very promptly, no quibbling or messing me about or asking me to send things to places and blah, blah, blah.Great customer service means a lot, and I respect any company willing to put their money where their mouth is when things go wrong without me needing to pull teeth to have it happen.Overall, very pleased despite the minor technial SNAFU.

I love this mechanical keyboard! The brushed metal finish is gorgeous, not only does it look good with the LEDs off, but when the LEDs are on the metal really accentuates the lighting. The light-modes themselves are all pretty good, with their being about a dozen or so in all. The usual ones such as breathing, solid on, off, and various patterns. Each row of keys can light up independently of each other. While it doesn’t have individual keys that are able to light up independently like my last Tecknet keyboard, the lighting effect is significantly nicer due to the combination of LEDs and brushed metal.I wanted a keyboard that doesn’t have a number pad, which means that I can have the keys perfectly centred with my body and the monitor. It’s just good ergonomics. I am a programmer, so as you can imagine having a good keyboard (and ergonomics) is a necessity for this line of work. While I don’t have repetitive strain injury (RSI), many of my friends and colleagues have it. And so I’ve been making an effort to proactively avoid developing RSI as best as I can. I try to make my typing experience the best possible. One thing I do know is that mechanical keyboards are good for ergonomics because of how comfortable they are to type on.Typing on this keyboard feels really good, and I am not sure how to describe it, but it’s got a certain sense of satisfaction that you don’t get with other types of keyboards (such as the membrane keyboards you get on laptops) due to the tactile nature of the switches. Some people say that popping bubble wrap is really satisfying, and whenever I type on this keyboard or my other mechanical keyboard, the closest thing I can think of to describe the sensation of typing on a mechanical keybord is that it is something akin to the satisfaction of popping bubble wrap.Although some may disagree, I love the ‘clickyness’ of the blue switches in this keyboard. My other keyboard had brown switches, and I was a little worried that perhaps the blue would be too clicky for me, but now that I’ve been using it I find that I am enjoying it. It feels different, but in a good way. Although I do understand switch preference is a highly subjective thing so best to do your own research. While discussing the switches I should also note that this keyboard also has anti-ghosting technology that I will no doubt find useful since I like to play video games from time to time.It has a keycap puller conveniently located on the bottom. I’ve already made good use of this, when I decided to clean my old mechanical keyboard, and couldn’t find it’s keycap puller but remembered my new one had one. I like that it’s built into the keyboard because that will solve the problem I had with my old keyboard where I put the keycap puller in a safe place, that ended up being too safe (I can’t remember where it is). Some expensive brands of Mechanical Keyboard require you to sign into an online service before you can access the keyboard’s drivers (which leads to the comical situation where you need to go online to configure your own hardware such as turning keyboard LEDs!). Technet blows those expensive keyboards out of the water by doing the same thing much better. With this keyboard all the LED settings are tweakable through the hardware itself using physical buttons on the device. I like that this keyboard is plug and play. I can move it from my desktop to my laptop very easily. When this keyboard is plugged in windows will just automatically find the needed drivers, and the LED settings are always available through the hardware. If there are any downsides to this keyboard I’ve not encountered them yet. The lack of numpad is (for me at least) more of a benefit since I’d rather use an external one that I can then position to my left (which to me feels like the most sensible place for a numpad). But I can imagine for some it might be an issue. It would have been nice if each individual key could be lit independently, but for me that is a luxury rather than a necessity but I could see that some individuals may see it as a drawback. The clickyness of blue switches are all down to personal preference. It has so many upsides, such as being plug and play, configuration of the LEDs accessible through the hardware, built in keycap puller, absolutely gorgeous brushed metal finish, braided cable, anti-ghosting technology, not to mention how downright pretty it looks like when its all lit up.All in all, I am delighted with this Tecknet Mechanical Keyboard. I think it goes toe to toe with some much more expensive keyboards while being much more reasonably priced (and without sacrificing any quality).

Mainly, this seems to be a great little keyboard.. Good tactile feedback, interesting backlighting (probably not the colours I’d have chosen, but hey, I’ll go with it.. It’s cheap and feels VERY solid for the price). The first of the quirks is the font that they’ve chosen for the keys. I suspect this is to try and make it feel more ‘Gamerish’, but on some of the numbers, it makes them a little bit difficult to read. So if you’re someone who needs to look at a key to press it, some of the keys may have you a little flummoxed. Q, O, B, 6, 8, 9 and 0 especially, which look quite like some strange sigils..The big “What?” moment is the way they’ve decided to set the key markers up though. For all the number keys, instead of the symbol being above the regular keypress and smaller, it’s directly to the right of the actual key, and exactly the same size. Odd, doesn’t help legibility, but we’ll go with it.The ‘gotcha’ moment is with the Semicolon key. This has the colon to the left, making you expect a colon. Nope, pressing that key gives you the semicolon (which is the correct UK keymap, which the keyboard otherwise adheres to). So, you’d expect the next pairing (left side is single quote, right hand is @) to produce an @ when pressed. Nope. It gives the single quote as expected. The Hash and Tilde keys are similarly correct for a standard UK keymap.Interestingly, as soon as you get back to the period, comma, bracket, brace and chevron keys ( ,.[]{} and <> respectively) that strange “Right hand side is correct, left hand is shifted” behaviour comes out again. If you are a “Look to press” typist, this will drive you absolutely insane. Then there’s the key below escape. Those of you who also code/use Linux/UNIX know this is where you find the pipe key and backtick. Both essentials. So, pressing it natually gives you the backtick as expected. Shift pressing it gives you.. No, not the pipe.. The other strange symbol that nobody ever seems to use.To get ‘Pipe’ (normally shift + backtick), you now have to use Alt+backtick. So, strange behaviour on some of the keys, plus outright getting it dead wrong on the ordering on the keycaps and NOT being consistent in how they actually work.. Can’t say I recommend the keyboard overall, even to gamers, as inevitably, they’ll need to use the correct keypresses.. So unless you’re a touch typist who never looks at the keys.. Try a different keyboard alas.

As developer (programmer in old-speak) working from home and a professional nerd – my desk was starting to get quite cluttered. Work laptop, various old laptops (that I can never quite part with) and desktop machines with KVMs, HDMI switchers etc. You get the picture! Desk space was at a premium.I looked around for compact keyboards and this one ticked most of the boxes. I rarely use the numeric pad on keyboard (MFA and 3 digit card numbers are the only times I miss it!). This strikes the right balance as the numpad is removed but it still keeps the standard layout for cursor keys and the Del/Pg Up/Down block.I had used a mechanical keyboard previously but I’d found that I had to hit the keys a little more heavily than I would expect; I had to be quite ‘deliberate’. The action on these keys is quite light and is a pleasure to type on.I really wish there was an option for a single colour backlight on this model – but for this price range I guess they’re trying to attract people looking for ‘gaming’ keyboards. There are various lighting modes but I find these quite gimmicky. It has to be noted as well that without the backlight switched on – the letters on the keys are practically non-visible.Amazon have asked for a rating for ‘flavour’ on this keyboard(!) – 1 star…
