SO good!
I purchased this to replace a Pyramid power supply that was absolutely drowning my HF radio in RF spikes. I had expected this one to be the same way, but figured the noise offset function would allow me to shift these away from the frequency I was using.
No need! Somehow, this power supply produces NO detectable RFI on my radio. At the same time, it’s less than half the size of the Pyramid, but puts out the same amperage. It’s also whisper quiet, and if the cooling fan has ever come on, I haven’t been able to hear it.
I like that the voltage is fixed at 13.8v, which is exactly what a “12 volt” radio wants. There’s no voltage adjustment knob that I can accidentally bump, and cause problems for myself. The PowerPole connectors are fantastic, though I wish they had put them on the back of the power supply, rather than in front. The binding posts are solid, and accept ring terminals as well as banana plugs. They are NOT cross-drilled to accept a bare wire, however.
I don’t know if I won the lottery with the particular unit that I received, but this is head and shoulders better than any previous power supply I’ve used. I wouldn’t trade it for a linear power supply of the same rating.

LOVE IT!
It works great for what I need for my ham radio!!!
Thank you for making a great power option for the radios! Highly recommend it

Great little DC power supply
Bought this compact DC power supply to use with my new FT-710. Has Anderson powerports in the front and regular connector jacks on the rear to wire in my FT-710’s power cord and a power cord to illuminate my AT2K’s meter light. This one is nice because it incorporates an analog Volts/Amps meter on the front. The rear DC ports lets me run my power cords out of the way behind my equipment. The PS’s fan comes on occasional when keyed up for a long time but is still pretty quiet. Good compact PS for the money.

So excellent I ordered a second one.
I originally ordered one of these to power my in-home vhf rig. I was so happy with it, that I got another to replace an aging supply I had been using for my HF rigs. This power supply has a great noise level, good monitoring, solid power connectors and is quiet in terms of electrical noise as well. Its a power supply so it isn’t something you write home about … unless it fails. But this one has worked absolutely reliably. Would recommend.

Very nice unit
Very nice power supply! This unit functions very well and has features that perform well. It has the front panel noise control, which I still haven’t needed having it turned on while using my HF Radio, but it is a nice feature to have and one of the main reasons for buying it. Meter on front panel works well and the V/A selector switch is conveniently placed as is the power switch. Nicely built, seems sturdy, with sturdy screw terminals, but haven’t used the power pole type receptacles on front panel. Unit seems to be a copy of a couple of famous brands performing very well. This unit has gotten good reviews on a couple of Amateur Radio dealer sites also.

Inexpensive power supply. Using for amateur radios
It just works. I like that you can switch from voltage to amperage and I usually leave it on amperage so I can see the draw. I use it on my icom 7300 as well as my any tone 776 UV I think it’s called VHF UHF radio. No problems whatsoever.

Works with HF Ham Equipment, but generates birdies
Pros
Delivers 20 amp continuous power
Works well with my G90 and 7300
Low noise on higher frequencies (7 MHz and above)
Easily handles peaks of 30 amps
Auto on/off fan
Powerpole connectors on the from
Light weight
Offset knob to move the birdies
Cons
Fan is loud when running
Generates birdies on 1.8 MHz and 3.5 MHz
Wonât work with motors

Works well with my ICOM 7300
I purchased this to go with my new ICOM 7300 radio – I also have a Astron power supply which I now use for my UHF radio. I was concerned about “noise” from the switching power supply as I had not used one before but am pleased that this power supply works well, does not get hot and is not noisy when running nor does it create noise on the hf bands.

El equipo es de buena calidad y precio.

A good choice for amateur radio gear. It will power radios with a 100 watt output. Right now I have its connected to a 75 watt 2 meter radio and its working well. I plan on using it for a 100 watt HF radio that is on order.

Buen producto, se probó con un amplificador lineal texas star de 350 watts y marcaba solo 21 amperes de consumo, no mete ruido como otras fuentes conmutadas, recomendable 100% para equipos de radiofrecuencia.

A nice work horse of a psu for a switching adapter I am I’mpressed.
Easily powers my 100 rig and no noise on the HF bands that I am using haven’t tou he’d the noise offset yet either.
