I travel a LOT. I spent months of the past year seeing the world. I tend to travel to more remote destinations or under circumstances that make everything tech both essential and a challenge. I also try to travel as light as possible.One bane of my existence has been the plethora of charging cables I needed to carry with me. I needed both USB and USB-c with lightning for my iPad and usb-c for my iPhone. My Kindle needed Micro-USB (that problem âsolvedâ itself when I lost it recently on a trip since my new Kindle uses usb-c), and then there is my Apple Watch. So many permutations. Also, since cables tend to stop working and replacing them in the Serengeti, Antarctica, etc is impossible, I carried two of everything. My tech bag was bigger than my toiletries.When I saw this cable with the âconvertibleâ USB-a/c plug-in end, I was skeptical. Iâve tried cables like that in the past, and they didnât work as advertised. The connection was too loose. Now this cable has a really snug almost hard to get off fit. Another thing I like is the lengthânot too long, not too short at 4â. Youâd think a short cable would be a good idea for travel since itâs compact. However, I find myself charging in airports, internet cafés, tourist information centers, etc. I canât have my devices hanging from the outlet.One criticism Is that I wish little thing that connects the USB to the USB-C at the plug-in end was made of silicone so it would be more flexible. The plastic is stiff and causes the cable to bend as you can see in one photo. This concerns me because Iâve had too many cables break due to bending, but usually that happens at the lightning, etc. end of the cable. Hopefully this wonât be an issue because it isnât stressing the connection between the braided cable and the connection. Iâm still giving it 5 stars because this looks like it could be cable Nirvana for this excessive traveler. Knowing me, Iâll still bring two, but thatâs a lot better than the 6 or so cables I was traveling with before.

Honestly, this is about as vertical as it gets. There is a USB-C or a option for the charge in, and it has lightning USB-C and Apple Watch on the way out. I plugged into an USB a charger that I have sitting on my wifeâs nightstand, and was able to produce at least nominal voltage into a watch charger, and a iPad.Itâs difficult to know how useful it is unless I do a long-term review, which I will be attempting later. Honestly the biggest limitation on a charger like this is what kind of voltage supply itâs getting from the charge brick, so if youâre gonna bother getting one of these you have to get a larger brick overall to supply the required voltage for all three devices. I plan on keeping it, and leaving it so I donât have to keep adding chargers to my wifeâs nightstand.

Compact Versatile but Slow Cable
This is a thin durable lightweight cable. It has 3 different connectors. Itâs a great cable if you donât mind slow charging. This cable doesnât support PD fast charging with the usb-C connector. It was slow with android and iPhone using the lightning connector with the usb-C plugged into the charger. I was hoping to carry one charging cable instead of three. Oh well, it still works.

I bought this item for my daughter who was visiting from abroad for a short vacation. My daughter is a tech bunny with all manner of Apple and technology devices. This cable seems to do it all, including charging more than one device at a time!!!Lightning and USB-C fittings allow for older and new devices to be charge and an Apple watch can also be charged.I really like that the cable is braided, because it makes it stronger and more durable and the long cable length adds a lot of convenience allowing for an item to be used while charging.This product provides a lot of options in a small and extremely useful package.
