Beautiful, High-Quality Macbook Stand! Best on The Market, Though Doesn’t Come Cheap!
This is a very high quality stand. The packaging, first off, was very nice. It shouldn’t break during transport, unless somebody sits on it or throws it really hard. I took it out of the box and it was easy to adjust to the height I wanted. With a 2011 Macbook Air 13″, the webcam is right at my eye level now. I look slightly down while I am typing, but it is very comfortable for me. I’m glad I chose this product over other stands I was considering. It is very high end. I also like the fact that there is open space below the laptop in case I need to put something there. Some other stands that I was considering didn’t have this open space. My one and only complaint so far, and not about the stand itself, is that this is one pricey product. I went to their website and most of their other products are on the high end and priced high in accordance. It is true that you get what you pay for, and the quality is very good. However, because of the high price, I waffled for several weeks before deciding this was the best one. I’d also like to get their stands, but it was hard to justify the price and ended up getting stands made by other companies for my other devices (Spindo, and Satechi). You’d think that there would be a package discount of some sort, or ways to reduce the cost, but I didn’t see anything on their website. Overall, I spend around 200 bucks to trick out my desk, and this stand alone took nearly 40% of my budget. I just got this stand on Saturday (4/23/2016) and it is now Monday (4/25/2016). I hope this stand will still be in good condition 10 years from now considering what I paid.Regardless, I am glad that I paid a bit extra for a very high quality stand. I would highly recommend this stand to other Mac users. In the end, I bought this stand after weeks of looking around, and I think it will be worth spending the extra $20 bucks or so to get it.

Keeps Macbook Pro temperatures down
Absolutely love this stand.I have my 2011 MBP placed on the stand by my monitor. I’m able to have a comfortable dual monitor setup as the height is adjustable on this stand, which makes lining up the monitors easy.Great for graphic designers, coders, etc that need to have the extra screen real estate. I watch a lot of tutorials related to coding and design, and having the tutorial play on my MBP screen while I follow along on my external monitor is great for my workflow.Since this lifts the MBP off the surface, it really helps with the heat issues that these laptops have. I even have a small desk fan pushing cold air under the laptop.Definitely not comfortable to type on the laptop’s keyboard while on this stand. The upside down “V” design makes for a shaky experience when resting your palms on the MBP. Would highly recommend pairing your mac with an external bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Overpriced for shoddy quality
As it’s one of the stands Apple advertises and sells on its own website, I expected a lot better, especially for the price. I mainly wanted it for the MagSafe charging base, which I did find out before purchasing that the MagSafe functionality isn’t even included. You have to buy your own and then attach it underneath. So already, $80 for a stand that doesn’t do anything. It’s been wobbly, and now, not even owning it for a week, I see that the rubber that grips to the bottom of the laptop is starting to peel off. Are you kidding me? It doesn’t even adjust very well, you can only put it lower or higher and not by a whole lot. I’m keeping it for now to save myself space with the under-the-base charging, but it feels like such a rip-off.

Well Made, Looks Great
I purchased this to use with a late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina. After some of the negative reviews I was a little uncertain about what kind of product I would find when I opened the box. Having an Apple Store nearby I figured I could always return it if I was unhappy. I have to say I was quite surprised at just how solid and well made this stand is, exceeding my highest expectations. Fit and finish are first rate and the cantilevered V arms that support the computer are much thicker and more rigid than I imagined, and in hindsight, commensurate with the price. The vertical adjustment is smooth and well made.Though I use an external keyboard, typing on the built in keyboard while the computer is on the stand isn’t a problem at all, though not ideal height wise. The MBP is rock solid with no slipping and only the tiniest bit of downward deflection if you press firmly on it. The foot matches my Thunderbolt Display perfectly with the exception that it has the Twelve South logo on it. The stand can be moved around on the desk fairly easily but I would not say overly so by any means. It stays put unless you apply sufficient force. Before opening the box I felt the price was a bit steep but went for it because I wanted the adjustability. But it does in fact feel like a $70 stand and after using it I have no issue with the price. Well made, high quality stand.

Altezza regolabile in maniera semplice. Prezzo alto ma giustificato.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled do do so.After using the stand for a couple of weeks with my Macbook Pro, I’ve noticed that the actual stand is not level and that it shifts from side to side. Even after tightening the screw. Therefore, I see my screen at an angle.Lately, I also find that Macbook Pro slides off the stand itself. I’ve been in important meetings where my computer literally crashes down.

I haven’t had a stand for my MacBook Pro before. I did a quick tour of previous reviews of different stands. I liked the look of this stand and I thought it would do the job. I found some mixed reviews of it mainly due to the quality of finish of the product but decided that I’d risk it. I figured that any small blemish wouldn’t be the end of the world. I’m glad I bought this. The finish is fine and there are no finishing flaws. It holds my computer well and does what I need to to do. I think it looks more elegant than some other stands. I have it in its maximum height but that works fine for my 13 inch computer. You will need a remote keyboard as you can’t type properly when it is on the stand and the stand will probably not take the repeated pressure of the MacBook being typed upon.
