Works great with lots of ports for a great price
The price is great as well as the functionality. I am running 4 monitors and Iâve tried different port attachments and they didnât work well. This has the perfect amount of port capacity. I am running 4 wireless & wired accessories with the usb ports. There are 2 usb C ports. I have one running to another bridge and the other to charge my cell or attach another laptop. The sd and micro sd readers work well and are a great addition as some donât offer those. It has 1 HDMI port which I am using to power another monitor. It can work with a laptop that uses USBC ports or you can add an adapter to the USBC cable and it can work with other models that use usb, hdmi, etc. for the price, this is awesome and very versatile!

Compatibility & Performance review: Ubuntu 22 on Dell XPS 15-9550
Review after a week of daily use: No problems on a Dell XPS 15-9550 running Ubuntu 22.HDMI port connects to Dell S2721QS 4k monitor no problem.Note: One quirk is that a plugged in monitor always appears connected, even if it’s off. If I plug the monitor directly into the laptop, it notices whether the monitor is on or off, and adjusts the desktop accordingly. TBH, I prefer this behaviour, because sometimes I power the laptop on before I notice the monitor is off; I get less window resizing and jumping around.Testing is pretty minimal:iperf reports 517-630 Mbit/sec (other dongles on this same laptop/os/network have given me as high as 950 Mbit). This is all the exact same physical card, just using an adapter for the larger slots. That chipset is… weird.(sorry, no write tests)

Tested with through charging and that works well. It did get warm but not offensively. Neglible amount of loss in charging through the device vs. direct. I certainly would like it more if the micro SD would actually go all the way in so I could safely store it in place.

Finally A USB C dock that works!
I picked up several different USB c docks over the year as I need to use as I like to use my phone instead of taking out my laptop on a daily basis to do work and the issue has always been signal dropouts as well as some USB-C docks work with my Motorola phone but don’t work with my Samsung decks and others don’t work with the tablet but work with the phone so it’s a big mess.This is the first one that honestly feels weighty but also gives you no signal dropouts has two USB-A slots to USB 3.0 slots to USB-C slots one of those is for power to your device if you choose card readers, HDMI outs and USBC to your device This is the perfect travel friendly USB-C dock and the build quality on it is amazing.

The instructions say you should use a 100 watt charger and that using a charger less than 65 watts “may result in failure to charge”. I have a 60 watt power supply and not only will it not charge my laptop, none of the ports work either. The USB C port on my laptop is a thunderbolt port. I am returning it…
