This 32 GB upgrade works great in my 2017 5K display iMac
I never heard of V-Color Memory before. Based on the many 5-star reviews, having the lowest price for a 32 GB upgrade and a 100% satisfaction guarantee, I decided to give them a chance. The memory arrived in two days, thank you prime shipping. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Installation was a snap (follow the installation video) and took no more than 5 minutes once I got all my cables disconnected from the iMac. I have two 4 GB original Apple memory installed in slots 1 & 3. I simply installed the two 16 GB modules in slots 2 & 4, closed up my iMac, plugged all my cables in, and hit the power button. The first startup takes a little more time than usual as the Mac OS needs to initialize the new memory. My iMac recognized the memory the first time with no problems. The result is 40 GB of memory. I keep Quicken, Firefox, AltaMail, Messages, IPVanish and Contacts open all the time. With all those apps open (many are memory hogs) I still have 23 GB of free memory left. My mac is much faster since it can now cache more data without the need for time-consuming data swaps. My mac is on all the time and I have had zero issues with the V-Coor memory. I would definitely recommend this vendor.

Works great on the 2017 iMac despite being a higher RAM speed.
These worked to max out my 2017 iMac (Core i7 7700K) even though that system is PC4-19200 (2400 MHz). I bought these since they were cheaper than the “proper” 2400 MHz RAM at time of purchase. DDR4 RAM should be backwards compatible, but it doesn’t always pan out that way. Also, Intel Macs can be pickier than most when it comes to RAM speed.I did have to re-seat them to get it to boot, but that’s often par for the course with RAM in general.

This memory is well made and good value for the money. Although it is not a popular brand. It has worked very well for more than four months now. It is one of the low cost DDR4 Laptop memory at the time of purchase. It is made in Taiwan. The V-Color DDR4 16GB (16GBx1) 3200MHz CL22 2Rx8 Dual Rank 260-Pin 1.2V Non-ECC SODIMM Notebook Laptop Memory RAM Upgrade is excellent for the price of $19.99. Other popular brands easily cost more than $5 to $10. The cheaper brands didn’t look that well made from the pictures, for a few dollars less. It was very easy to install. The speed is very fast, but not the fastest, which is not important to me; since it is not to be used for gaming or high graphic. I ran many programs at the same time, and it held up without slowing or crashing. I ran Scilab 6.0, which uses a lot memory, and it was smooth. The only thing is the packaging was slightly bigger for such a small chip. It could be smaller to save paper and plastic. But this was not enough to deduct a star.

The memory was easy to install, and worked flawlessly in my iMac 27″ (2019) with Retina display. Some companies you never know if their memory meets specification. Installed and up and running in less than 5 minutes. I had only the Two 4GB modules installed when bought, but added Two 8GB modules. It didn’t matter that they weren’t the same size as the originals, so now I have 24GB. Haven’t seen much of a speed increase, but may do when I start video editing again.

Got this to upgrade my Gigabyte Aero 15x but unfortunately the gigabyte didn’t accept this particular memory. This was my second one form the seller as had returned the first one I bought as my laptop wouldn’t post. I tried the replacement in another laptop to see if it would work and it did, so it’s good. I think I keep it and and just try to get one that Gigabyte has recommended. The reason I didn’t give it five stars is because they said it was compatible with the Gigabyte Aero 15x and it didn’t work for me.

Installed on an Apple 2020 iMac 27â bought a month ago. Removed two Apple installed SIMM memory chips and grounded with wrist strap to ensure electrostatic discharge would not occur.Took 5 mins. to install; rebooted and there was 128 GB of RAM. Wunderbar!!

Speed of delivery was great in Australia, took me under 5 minutes to install (I recommend you use latex gloves to not damage your new and old RAM). Restarted Mac – opened About This Mac, saw the RAM installed properly.
