excellent quality standing desk with electric motor
I’ve used different standing desks of varying quality in the past, and I wasn’t expecting this desk to be as it is, from the price and lack of name brand. I’m very glad I decided to take a chance on it!Assembly took some time, but that was only because there was a little bit of work involved. It wasn’t difficult at all. The parts are all of excellent quality, and the fit was perfect. The instructions were easy to understand, and they were clearly printed on very good quality paper. All the different parts were well-illustrated in the instructions, and the screws and other parts were each sealed in separate sections of a plastic bag. The included tools weren’t cheap, either. The allen wrench was strong enough and fit so well that I didn’t need to use my own. The included screwdriver has a nice, rubberized handle and it’s so nice that I will be keeping it!One thing I’d strongly suggest during the assembly: do NOT install the drawer which goes underneath until after you have the rest of the desk assembled. You can always add it later, but there is a good chance that it will be in the way when you lower the desk so you can use it in the seated position. I have a very ergonomic setup, and when the desk is in the lowest position and I am seated, there is a 3 inch clearance between the top of my thighs and the desk. The brackets and drawer which go underneath the center of the desk are 3 3/4 inches, so there isn’t enough room for me to use that drawer.The adjustments to the height work perfectly. There are four presets, with 1 being the lowest setting and 4 being the highest. 3 is almost perfect for when I’m standing, but since the presets can be modified, I could fine tune it to be exactly where I want it. If I need it higher or lower, there are buttons to manually adjust the height as well.The motor seems pretty strong. I have some decently-sized speakers which I have on the desk in addition to the monitor and a desk lamp. I don’t plan to add much else, but I doubt the motor would struggle even if I added several more pounds.I wish I hadn’t waited so long to finally get an automatic adjustable desk – it is definitely worth it!

Great Directions and Quality Materials!
My previous stand up desk was becoming a maybe desk. Maybe it would rise, maybe it would lower. I knew it was time to find a new desk. When this one came along – I loved the added storage drawers and decided to give it a try. I’m thrilled I did!The directions were easy to follow! They were logical and so straight forward! Huge improvement over my last experience. All the hardware was included and was easy to identify the parts! The desk even comes with it’s own assembly tools, but I did grab my own due to arthritis in my hands.The control buttons are pretty straight forward and easy to change. You can do two memory settings. Tall people – take note when fully up – my Pyr cannot counter surf my lunch! She’s a notorious “The crime is worth the punishment” doggo and this desk helps her be a good girl! BONUS!The desk itself is a nice quality material. The surface is nicely finished. The legs are steel and very sturdy! It will hold A LOT! The drawers are fully functional. I’d never heard of Veken before, but I’ve already shared the link with my WFH sibs and friends. If I ever need more furniture for the home office, I will certainly give Veken a look to see what they offer. 15 out of 10 from me!

Great desk for the price!
As someone that moves back and forth multiple times a day between standing and sitting this is a great desk and I really like it!Assembly took about 30 minutes. All the tools needed were included and extra hardware was included which is always nice (I ended up not needing the extra hardware). Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It also came with a few cable management clips and recommendations on where to place them to help keep the desk’s motor / power chords out of the way.The desk allows you set two different heights in memory (which can be misleading since there are 4 buttons, but 3 and 4 are used for locking/unlocking the controls). Setting the height up and down is as easy as holding the up and down buttons. The desk rises and lowers at a steady pace making to easy to watch for cables catching.The max height was surprising and my 5 year old could stand underneath the desk when it was fully raised. It also goes low so when that same 5 year old needs to do his computer time it goes down to his level. This range of motion was a main attraction! And the fact you can press a button to go to a desired height is a big bonus.The desk does not have a stabilizer horizontally between the two legs which I thought was going to cause some wobbling but once assembled and everything on top there is minimal wobble; no different than my previous desk which had more horizontal supports.I prefer not having a horizontal bar though as I keep my gaming PC under the desk and no bar allows me to open my case and get into the PC if needed (the door on my case swings open on the side exposed under the desk).The main feedback items about the desk are:1. I wish it had more preset heights. Two is good but more would have been good. It does read out the height on the display so you can just write down your preferred settings.2. The desktop comes in two pieces and it is noticeable when sliding things across the surface that the top is two pieces.Otherwise this is a great desk and an upgrade from my desk that required manual cranking up and down. It is also much more cost efficient than that manual crank desk which was twice the price. I think this desk from Veken is very good value for the cost.
