Okay Phone – Display is Useless
In the listing it shows the phone display lit up green, like it has a backlight – IT DOES NOT HAVE A BACKLIGHT, and you can barely see anything on the display. There is a contrast setting for the display, but it does not help at all. If you purchase this phone understand that the display is basically useless, otherwise it is an okay phone to make and receive calls on.

Didn’t work at all
Junk

Cheap junk, needs batteries, tiny buttons
I needed a basic phone for our landline, nothing fancy, just something with caller ID, so this looked fine. Got it home to find the buttons are TINY. I am only 50, not blind in any way, and I found it hard to hit the right keys when dialing. The rest of it just feels like cheap plastic. The caller ID portion requires batteries, but lacks a backlight, so it is impossible to read that either. Not gonna work, so I’m back to find something else today, 2 days after it arrived.

I needed a phone to connect to the entry system for my apartment. I plugged it in and it worked on the entry system seamlessly. I didn’t install batteries as they are needed for call display and that’s not required for an entry phone.

The price: 20 bucks for a plain Jane phone I could use on most of my plans. Easy to spend $200 plus on phones with bells and whistles and a dial tone.It has all the features of a nice home phone without the big bucks up front!

this is a good quality product… worth the money. i have used many vtech phones over the years and they have never disappointed me. this one, and its companion cordless phone sold in the same bundle are no exception.if i needed another corded/cordless phone bundle i would buy this again

Phone works fine, but there’s a couple things to note. 1) the phone line cord that connects to the wall plug is hardwired into the phone and is only maybe 4ft long. You can not switch it out for a different cable. This phone must be placed a very short distance from the phone jack.2) this phone is designed to be hung on the wall. The switch that hangs up the line is on the receiver and not the cradle. The receiver doesn’t fit snugly into the cradle when the phone is flat on the counter. It slides up a bit which releases the button that hangs up the phone. It’s enough to make me worry the phone can be off the hook without looking like it. If it’s hanging on the wall this isn’t an issue, only if sitting flat on a table.
