In January of this year I upgraded to AT&T VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), and some of the phone systems that are specifically made for VOIP are twice the price of this VTech phone system! My Mom had many VTech phones, so I was assured of the quality of their phones already. This phone system is packed with many features that makes this an amazing buy! Here are just a few of them: You can set up your own message or use a prerecorded message for your answering machine, you can shut off the answering machine or turn it on with one click of a button. When you are out for the day and come home, if you have any messages you will see a flashing light on the base to let you know. You can shut off the ringer completely, raise and lower the volume of the ringer, and you can even program this phone to shut off for many hours and have it turn on again automatically. It has that all important feature, “FIND HANDSET,” for those of us who are sometimes misplacing our cordless phones and end up spending valuable time searching for it. It also has a mute button on the base as well as on the handset.The buttons (as well as the letters and numbers on them) are nice and big so that you can immediately see what buttons you need to push, which makes is a great choice for older people or anyone with poor vision. Although the buttons on the base do not light up, the buttons on the handset do. The sound quality is excellent! No static whatsoever like I experienced with my landline phones!I chose to purchase this particular phone because it has a speaker phone option on the base, as well as on the cordless phone that comes with this system, which makes it so much nicer when someone calls and you are trying to do the dishes, etc. I also like the fact that the base comes with a corded phone for those times when you want your conversations to be more private. For those of you who do not have a cell phone or rarely use one, this VTech Phone System is a great choice for you, as well!This phone system is very easy to set up and I like how the screen on the base is on an angle which makes it easy for you to see who is calling if you have your phone on your desk like I do. This VTech phone system is one of the best purchases that I have made on Amazon so far, and definitely the best digital phone system that I have ever owned! I highly recommend it!

Works perfect
Needed a replacement phone for ours and this one works perfect, it is actually a lot heavier than the original one. The original lasted 5 years and would have lasted longer but someone in the house “didn’t drop it” and now it no longer works

Messages left on Phone answering service impossible to understand.
This phone was to replace a 20 year old Panasonic corded phone with an message answering service. The new Vtech phone was purchased in January 2021. From the start it was difficult to understand what a caller’s message was since the sound was so garbled. If someone left a call back number it was impossible to decipher the correct call back phone number. My second issue is that I want to hear when someone is leaving a message. With the Vtech phone I had no idea if someone just hung up or if they left a message until i checked the phone to see if the message light was on. I want to know if a message is being left so I can get to the phone if I want to talk to the caller before they hang up. My old Panasonic would allow me to hear from two rooms away if some one was leaving a message and I could tell who the person was by the sound of their voice. The Panasonic messages were clear as a bell. I waited too long to return the Vtech corded phone so will have to trash it. i am just glad I kept my old Panasonic. The only thing wrong with the Panasonic was the batteries kept popping out of it. I think I will just reinstall it and use good old duck tape to keep the batteries in. Somehow I thought a 2021 phone would be better than a 2000 phone. Silly me.

super clean looking unit, light weight, works well, nothing else to say except buy it you’ll like it!

This cordless phone was easy to program to work with my Home Land Line base set. Sound quality & battery life also very good. If I ever need to add another hand set for my home phone, I would buy this product again.
