Why did they change these?
Bought ones in ’23 and they sounds great.. No cracking or anything. The crackly interference is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. When you first turn them on that sound is so loud you can’t hear anything playing. After like 30 seconds they sound fine…. Until there is ANY lag on your system. I used them for TV.. I can’t imagine trying to play a video game. They are probably unusable. If I hadn’t broken my last pair I would return these.

I love the look and quality of this headset. Charge and play time are both top notch.My one complaint is that it fits small. I’m 6’3″ 200 lbs, so not the smallest guy but it’s not like I have a huge head. If I could extend the ear pieces just one more centimeter it would have been a perfect fit. However as it stands, it’s tight on the head and has a feeling of pulling my ears up. Cool to wear for short periods of time.

Amaazing Sound more depth than ever
Iâll start with âdreaded cracklingâ- change the port! To get the most from these, even tho Wireless, you get pretty good sound, Cabled – itâs Staggeringly Good.USB-c port on unit with C or A on PC, must be on dedicated or primary use USB, to have enough Bandwidth – itâs a digital connection for data, and not co-used for something actively in use, like a drive or such.Now for the ammmaaazing part. Watching 6-Underground, Very action packed, the frequency response, from the lows of intense explosions, to the tinkling of breaking glass, heard in superb detail. I recently did a 13hour stream and it was comfortable the Whole Time. Didnât get too âear hotâ by holding in too much heat. Playing No Manâs Sky, thereâs sounds in the game Iâve never heard before, rumbling of ground quakes and ships approaching, to the chirps of fauna & fowl. The rumbles I FEEL against my ears, but not so intense youâd want to ârip offâ the headphones.

I love the clean design, comfort, and native Xbox integration. The controls are well integrated with large dials that are easy to interact precisely with, as opposed to the small fiddly controls on other headsets.Audio quality out of the box is disappointing. Similar to the original Xbox Wireless Headset, very heavy on the low end making for a muddy/muffled sound. I imagine this can be somewhat corrected using EQ settings, but a headset should sound good and balanced out of the box. The nail in the coffin is that the audio latency, just like the original, is still worst in class. It is especially noticeable in a shooter like COD where you pull the trigger, see the weapon fire on screen…and then you hear the gunshot a beat later. It’s immersion breaking and actually puts you at a disadvantage in competitive games that rely on audio cues, as well as rhythm games.

I bought these for the new Black Ops 6 game. I use to have the Steel Series Arctis 9x but they broke. The all new Xbox Wireless Headset is really punching above its price. Great features and settings built into the Xbox UI. I highly recommend watching a Youtube video on what EQ settings are the best for certain games as the default settings are bass heavy and a little muddy. But once you adjust the EQ settings they sound very comparable to much higher priced headsets. The Dolby Surround sound is great for hearing footsteps and small noise details in BO6. Also, having my Iphone stream music to the Xbox headset while I’m playing games is an awesome feature. The music also sounds great on this headset. At this price point these will make an excellent Christmas gift for any Xbox user you may know.

I loved my old Microsoft wireless headset but as the years went by it did start to cut out and create distortion sounds when the gameplay got busy. I was super excited to see this updated version and decided to give it a go. This headset is doing the exact same thing as my old one except there are no distortion sounds. It does cut in and out a lot when the gameplay gets busy. I have tried it with Diablo 4, rust, and dayz and it’s fine mostly for those games but one I started to play black ops I couldn’t even hear what was going on in the game because it’s cutting in and out so much. I had to return it as much as it pains me. I will be purchasing the steel series as my husband never has any issues with his.
