Worked as advertised
Had a dead battery (lead acid) on our home generator. Put the new charger on for 24 hours and the battery is now fully charged and it started the generator. Instructions were straightforward but needed a magnifying glass to read. Says it works as trickle charger/maintainer. Power cord is short. Needed an extension cord. Some reviews say trickle doesn’t work. I’ll test that and update this review if any problems. Otherwise, charger works as advertised.

Good charger but this is not a battery maintainer
Seems to be working fine. Used it to repair an AGM battery. I have several vehicles and outdoor power equipment with various batteries. Charges them up just fine. I found out once the battery is charges is shuts itself off. I have one vehicle with a drain, and set this charger up on it for overnight, apparently after a few hours the battery was charged and shut itself off, needless to say the battery continued draining and was in a low state of charge by morning. My old charger went into maintaining mode after battery was charged. I recommend this charger especially for it’s compact size, selection of battery types, nice display and price. Just know this is not a battery maintainer.

Works pretty well! 10+ amps
I had two bad car batteries that were not able to restore but oh well. One would charge to only 4volts so it was really bad. The other one would charge to 12+ volts but even after multiple restores and charges it was just too weak to restore.For my newer batteries this charger worked great! My motorcycle battery is about 1yr old AGM style and it detected AGM right away.Always connect the +/- Charger leads to the battery first! That will detect the correct battery and give you it’s current state of charge before plugging it into the wall.Double check your battery type and just touch the only button on it to change types.It’s extremely simple to use and might even bring older batteries back to life. It didn’t work on my two but I didn’t think they were able to be saved anyway.Charges very fast and even went to 10.4amps on my motorcycle battery immediately.The pulse charge style appears to send pulses of voltage to try and restore a battery. My battery meter was jumping from 12 to 15v during the restore pulse charge setting.So far this appears to be a very smart and tiny charger for the money.Only issue I would say is that the leads are maybe 2ft each and that’s it!

I have 3 of these chargers. I use them as battery maintainers but they are fast chargers as well. 10 amp charging is a rapid charge. After the first repair, I keep mine set on the Motorcycle setting. They automatically come on as needed and usually for only for a brief time. I have batteries in my Harleys that are about 7 years old. The desulfating mode keeps the plates in the battery from collecting sulfer on them and that keeps the batteries in tip top shape. It won’t keep a battery from failing on the longest end but it does help them to last longer. I have a number of other trickle chargers that are similar. I bought these because they are priced just right and they have all the features anyone would want and need. I would suggest running the repair option a couple times a year. And then set it on the Motorcycle setting. This will work just fine for any battery setting idle without being used much. I keep one atttached to my truck just because it’s not a daily driver. I added quick connect leads as a duel connection to aid in fast connecting. My batteries are all set up with quick connects. I rarely use the clips but I didn’t defeat them. I like that these clips are well insulated. -> Buy it. It works well.

Worth every penny
Dreaded dead battery 1 month after the 3 year guarantee ends… of course. I don’t drive that much so no big deal. Previous car battery charger also went to garbage for whatever reason.Anyhoo.. ordered this product up after reading the awesome reviews (thanks!) and it was delivered within 12 hours.Easy peasy instructions to follow and learned a little something about car batteries.Went through the process and it did the job perfectly. Diagnostics told me what was wrong with the battery. 6 hours later, good to go and back on the road comfortable enough to drive to the store to buy a new car battery.Excellent product.

Got this because our generator battery stopped working. Also wanted a trickle charger for my truck since I don’t drive it often.Automatically detects battery status. Was amazed. Charged up battery voltage and started upping the amperage on the battery. Tells you how many amps the battery needed to full charge.Son’s friend car died while staying at our house. Put this thing on his car battery. Somehow his battery dropped 9 amps overnight. It’s slow but it charged his battery with no problem.Only complains are the short power cord and gator clamp cables. Will probably make some modifications to make the removal.
