Simple and Stable
I was in search of something to secure my Galaxy Fold 5 while I was in the car and found it difficult to find an option where it did not include a built-in wireless charger. While this doesn’t have nearly the same finesse, it really does exactly what I wanted it to do… which is hold my phone while open (like a tablet).It does an excellent job of securing my phone and I just plug it to keep it charged while using it for Android Auto. It’s a perfect and simple solution as this holder isn’t as expensive as other options where it includes wireless charging. If wireless charging could keep up with the pace of battery drain, the I could see the benefits, but until then I’m more the happy with this simple tablet holder that functions perfectly as advertised.

I purchased this for my old car which doesnt feature android auto, and it works perfectly with my Z Fold 6. The lock keeps the stand wherever you desire and is great quality for a great price.

Easy to mount.Sturdy design.Looks and feels right (good level of materials – would not call them premium, but it’s not cheap plastics)Rubberized parts in contact with the phone – super ok and it does not leave a mark on the phone.Easy to install in the vent. Easy to adjust for the right position – sometimes needed while driving to avoid glare in the screen.It’s pretty well fixed and it does not vibrate/shake with the phone on while driving.Easy to put the phone in.I’m using a Samsung Fold 4 on it.Had to choose between this one (vent mount) and the cd mount one. Glad I’ve picked this one, as the phone, while blocking the vent, it’s kept cool while charging.I’m glad I purchased this product – I feel it’s well priced for the specs and features it has!

The suction pad will not hold with my Fold 5 and falls within minutes…
I have used multiple mounts with suction cups and this is the first one that did not work at all out of the box. I mounted it and it seemed fine. I let it set for a day plus before use and my phone fell screen down on to the shifter. Everyone saying it works is using the vent model and even most of those people are saying it’s loose. I’ll try a replacement and update my ratings later.

Does not stay put, and clamps too hard to open/close one-handed
Although the product is sturdy, the first difficulty is that it does NOT adhere to the dash. I did everything per instructions but finally decided that there is insufficient suction created when closing the small handle or switch that is supposed to lock the holder in place (‘pump’ the air out, so to speak). Two days in a row I found it detached from the dash (without ANY phone present), so it obviously took very little weight to pull it off.The second issue for me (though this might not apply to every type of phone) is that the arms which retract to allow placement of an open Z Fold are ‘fiercely’ spring loaded. By that I mean it is a bit challenging even to pull them apart, and would be hard for most people to do one handed while using the other hand to place the open phone on the cradle. The tension is so great in fact that I wonder if it is really good for the phone itself to be so firmly squeezed. Yes, it’s important for the arms on either side to have a reasonably firm grip on the phone so it doesn’t fall out of the cradle, but in this case, the grip strikes me as excessive, hard to hold open long enough to place your device, and pressing hard on the sides particularly where the buttons are located

I purchased this 3 months ago now for my Samsung Fold. This supports the weight and allows the phone to be opened or closed on the holder, and it holds all my other phones. It’s a perfect design, it clips into the vent, you tighten it and it’s never fallen off, I can adjust my phone while it’s on the holder to move it toward me or turn the phone sideways without it loosening up. The holder has never fallen off the vent and my phone has never fallen off the holder, it doesn’t damage the vent at all, it’s well made, Its been a great purchase. It does make it more difficult to adjust the air flow for the vent your using for the holder but that’s the only thing I can say that isn’t positive. 10 stars.

PROSThis is a well made product.Grips the phone securely.Attaches well to the car vent well.Works with my fold 6 both closed and open.Easy to attach the charging cable open and closed.I can use finger recognition in the cradle.I have read the negative feedback and would say. The grip is very strong and needs a little strength to open it. But if then feels secure. I would imagine people who broke their car vents either put excessive pressure on the vent slat while attaching it or trying to get the phone in the holder.Would I recommend this. Yes absolutely. Although if you do not have much hand strength then you might find this awkward to use.
